3 month old panther temps!

Hello everyone, I'm soon to be the proud owner of a 3 month old panther but I have a basking light temperature question. I hear so many different temperatures when it comes to youth panthers. I have a 75 watt soft white bulb on top of a 24x18x26 screen cage I'm getting a temp of around 83 degrees about 7" under the light with ambient temps in the 75 degree range. How am I doing???

For 3 month olds I never used a basking light at all, just my Arcadia 20'' high output UVB, but 75W is too hot even for adults, unless your relative room
temp is pretty low.
A nice temp gradient is what you want, so your cham can change his temp as he/she pleases.
The temps you posted sound okay, just the little ones dont like to be cooked ;)

My 4 month old panther uses a 37 watt and he does great. His branch is about 6 or 7 inches below it...

So basically when they're little their basking temps shouldn't be somewhat that of the temp in the house? With maybe just the heat coming from the UVB strip. I've read that 80 is an ok temp for youngsters but then again everything helps I have a solid month to get everything perfect

Welocome, For little one I shoot for about 80 in the basking site with a ambient cage temp in the lower 70s
