2 in 1 cage

I have a small mt. kenya jacksons in a large cage. Just wondering if I could put another chameleon in there even if its a different kind. Its 30 x 30 x 18.
He,s only a few inches & looks tiny in there.

You really shouldnt house 2 chameleons in the same cage, i know that you can house babies in the same cage if they were from the same clutch , someone else more experienced will chime in im sure and will let you know

Nope, you should never put two chameleons in a small space, thereby eliminating any chance they have to run away from each other if they fight or stress each other out. Chameleons really should be housed alone in cages.

The problem is one of the two will always be the dominate one. The less dominate of the two will be stressed and may not get sufficient food. Same species or different the dynamics are the same, I would not do it. Your little guy will just think he has a whole forrest - how wonderful for him.

I am on board with the others here, it is a no, no and not worth the risk of making one or both of the Chams sick due to stress or simply stressed for that matter. Nor the headache it could cause you down the road... maybe you can get a smaller set up for your little guy you currently have it the larger sized cage.

Same problem, one causing the other stress, maybe not a competition for food but still a problem. I sure would not do it. jmo

Housing two chameleons together does not always result in a sick/stressed animal. Under the right conditions and with a great amount of monitoring it is possible to house two or more chameleons together. With certain chameleons it often makes them less aggressive, stressed, and less likely to lay eggs as often and in smaller numbers.

That being said, if you have to ask, don't do it. It obviously shows you do not have the right amount of experience or knowledge to take on such a task.
