16 Month Old Panther Finally Laid 1st Clutch

So this big girl just laid her first clutch of infertile eggs. She is 101 grams after laying the eggs and is 16 months old. I thought it was a little odd that she didn't really bury them when she was done but she had a big clutch of 39 eggs.

Just thought I'd share.

After successful mating and a fertile clutch from it, is it 1 infertile clutch laid after that she can be mated with a different male?

No she was never bred. I've been waiting for the infertile clutch to lay. Now once she is receptive I'll pair her up.

Some people get worried if the females don't lay so I thought I'd just share this because she was 16 months old before she laid her first clutch.

Mine went receptive at 10 months, don't know why... I take them outside alot maybe... 16 months is a long time

That is a little early. I wait till my girls are at a year old and lay their first clutch before I pair them up regardless.

This is good news. My girl is a year old and hasn't laid any... At least that I know of haha.

Thanks. Yeah it's good news. I know sometimes the females never lay eggs. My girl is big for a female and a nice size clutch. I'm just glad she is healthy and starting to lay.
