10 days with only misting and no calcium?

I will be out of town for 10 days and my neighbor will take care of my 3.5 month old male veiled. To make things as simple as possible for him, I'm planning to only show him how to put crickets in the feeder cup. I don't want to show him how to dust calcium or set up the dripper because I feel like that will just complicate things more, such as overdusting or accidentally spilling the water all over my floor.
To provide enough water source, however, I will have a 5-gallon tank filled with RO water, and mistking schedule is set to work 4 times a day, 7 minutes for each time, 3 hours apart. My enclosure is only 16 by 16 by 20, so every misting will totally soak the cage. Heating lamp and UV light are also on 12 hour timer. My crickets are gutloaded with mix of vegetables and Calcium-supplemented cricket water gels and food.

My question is, will my veild be ok for 10 days without dripper and calcium dusting?

If he's being misted then yes, he'll be fine as far as the water goes. That shouldn't be a problem. The calcium thing I'm not sure, I mean, you're not going to come back to a chameleon with MBD. But I'm hesitant to give you the go-ahead.

Is it possible to put a little calcium in a cup and ask him to dusk only 2-3 insects, while throwing the others into the cage? Then it's ok if the 2-3 are doused in calcium, because it's only a couple. That way he still gets some calcium.

He's just so young, for an adult male I'd probably say it's not a big deal, but he's at that phase in life where he's more susceptible to deficiencies.

what i did for my friend was put the propor ammout of the supplimenet into different cups then all he had to do was toss in a few crickets and shake shake dump, i just left a container for each day, marked for the day with the right supplement inside.

Very good idea. That would make it very simple for someone.

If you do decide not to have your friend dust the crickets, i would make sure you have a calcium rich gutload. This may help him keep calcium in his system over the ten days. :D

I think I will put calcium powder of appropriate portion in many small containers and all he has to do is dump the powder from each container every day into the cup with crickets and shake it..:D

This is what I usually do. I don't use a lot of powder dusting calcium/supplements at all normally.Few times a week if that. I do give drops of liquid calcium though on feeders as well as vit a drops usually once a month. I make sure my gut load is good and feeders are well fed.
