I've got the lighting and temperatures right but the humidity stays around 30-34 it goes up to around 40-42 after the mister goes off. Is this ok? Should it be higher? I have the mister set to spray for 30seconds every hour.

Female Ambanja about 3months. We don't have her yet but we plan on feeding her mostly crickets gut loaded w/oranges, kale, collard greens etc. I also have herptavite & phosphate free calcium w/vita D3.
We have a reptibreeze aluminum cage 18"l 18"w 24"h (I realize we will have to upgrade soon)
Lighting: reptisun 5.0 uvb & 60watt blue daylight in a reflector dome.
We have a zoo med nudging system that is set to go off for 30secs every hour.
Lighting and listing systs set to turn on @ 7am & off @ 7pm
I Hung plastic around the outside of two sides of th cage to keep in humidity this brought it up to around 43
We just set this up yesterday but I plan on getting a pathos (organic soil w/river rocks to cover the soil.)
Cage is about 3.5ft off the floor in corner of our bedroom (2nd floor) we live in South Jersey.
*note* as an experiment I turned my bedside humidifier toward the cage about 1-2 ft away from cage on med. This brings humidity up to 60 but will it be safe for the chameleon? Thank you again I want everything to be right before she gets here!

There is no such thing as a nudging system. MISTING SYSTEM is what i meant to type! Also where it says "listing" I'm typing this from my mobile.

I wouldn't worry about your typing, i am dyslexia and even proof reading misses a lot of my mistakes. I use a humidifier like what you mentioned to get my humidity to where I want it. I have montane species and they need high humidity.
The only thing I would do different is use a regular white bulb for heat rather than the blue one. The white looks more like the sun to a cham, and that is where they expect heat to come from.

Thanks! You could try covering the third side of the cage with plastic, just make sure that the cage dries out between mists.
You may find a bit better luck if you do something more like misting 1.5minutes every 2 hours.
Do you have calcium without d3 for every feeding? The calcium with d3 is only for twice a month to avoid over supplementation.
The plant will really help. I have two and very helpful.

Ok. yeah we are going to put the third side of plastic up, get a plant to catch & retain moisture if that still doesn't do it I will use the humidifier. I also need calcium w/o D3 for every feeding. And the herptavite is only once or twice a month as well I believe?
