my one year old has had a "broken" tail since I got her. As long as the cham has full mobility of the tail, I don't think it's a big deal. Mine uses her tail just fine and has never had a problem.

An 18"x18"x18" cage.

I just recently moved my one year old veiled into a new enclosure (24"x24"x48") and she seems a lot more scared of me than she was in the smaller cage. Should I let her adjust to her new surroundings until I try and handle her? It's been a little over a week since the move so maybe I'm expecting...

I hadnt thought of towels. I thought the cage was too deep to use any substrate. I'll give them a try. And my post was a little confusing. I do have a UV light and a heat lamp. I just think they are the same brand. Thanks for the help!

What kind of drainage system do you have?

That's exactly what I have it doing! Every two hrs for 45 seconds at a time. I have a second nozzle, do you recommend using two?

I just got my new cage for my 1 year old veiled. It's 2'x2'x4'. I have the mist king set up and working but I was wondering how long and how many times a day I should have it run? This is my first mist king so any help is appreciated!

I buy them at pet stores. I gut load and have a water substitute. I dont really have the space to keep that many around. This is all good imput btw, Thanks!

Her eating schedule really depends on my schedule for now. If I have time to feed her every day I do. It also has to do with when I can go get crickets. how do you keep up with giving ten a day?

oh well its mostly crickets. some days ill feed her more or less depending on how many she'll eat. i just got the mealworms and have only just fed her a few. i'll slow down though.

I've had my cham for about 7 months now and just recently she has started to eat the live plant I have in there. It's a pothos and I know it's on the cham safe list but my question is she supposed to eat it? and is there a reason she has started? (not feeding her enough, bored etc..)

The reason I liked substrate was that I thought it provided a softer ground in case she ever fell. But I definetly trust the judgement of everyone here. I hope Linda doesnt get upset when I remove the substrate! Thanks everyone!
