Does the more old a veiled chameleon is, the more aggressive it gets? 😅
Mine is 6 - 7 months old as I inspected. Throughout this few months I rarely bring him out or touch him.
I don't really try to bond with it by hand feed or whatsoever, I'm just doing the daily/weekly routine of
Cleaning...
Hi All,
Would like to get an opinion on whether or not my veiled seems to be crooked a bit? It just finished totally shed lately, took around 2 weeks to fully shed.
Before the shed, it doesn't seems to crook, but maybe just the angle? I'm not so sure. Other than that it seems to me very...
yeah, got a bit of concern with crickets though, as i heard they could bite the cham when it sleep.
But what if the fruits or veggies rotten during the period of time, do they possess any severe disadvantages? I do have pothos inside where his been munching them from time to time, if all else...
Hi All,
Is it possible to leave my veiled cham a week? My place do not have such thing as a pet sitter for reptile.
Previously I did it with 3 days with multiple feeding station and with the mister ON for all the times.
Within the 3 days all feeding station did empty up, except for like 2 - 3...
This is coleus right ?
I can't comment as I'm still on learning progress.
But since I'm keeping veiled I'm needed to be more careful, thus i only chosen those that listed veiled tested one under chameleon academy.
So far i only found my veiled chomp on my pothos.
Yet to found evidence of it...
I only heard red runner got capability to bite. But all other pointed that dubia is docile & wouldn't bite. Touch wood ** 😄
Hahaha, a clear guidance of size !
This dubia somehow magically climb up to my cham forehead.
The dubia doesn't move for an hour already 😒 and the cham never intend to do anything to scrub it off.
1 thing I'm afraid of superworm is, they might bite cham, thus I don't use it. It size also larger than my cham.
But I did offered my cham with BSFL, it ate it instantly.
Noted with thanks, everyone.
I'll give a day or 2 to monitor it's diet, if it's weren't able to chomp down double size of feeders, i'll get some crickets for it's taste.
Noted with thanks.
I will prepare the husbandry sheet when ready.
My thoughts was lately it's been taking much more dubia then few days back. So my plan was to try this few days to increase the dubia feeders and see how much it will take per day before i place in the crickets.
I also did...
I did asked the store owner before this, he said he fed it a few crickets once per 2 days.
I got it by now is the second weeks, been feeding it with dubia daily. I don't really want to feed him with cricket, alternatively i want to get some BSFL.
Thanks for the estimation.
I read that around this months old they should eat alot.
But usually mine would just ate about 4 - 5 dubia daily and it only ate dubia that is size about its mouth or smaller. It will ignore those that larger a bit.
Does this diet consider normal ?
Hi all,
Would like to get an opinion on the age of this male, it only been sold as juvenile chameleon but not sure the about the age.
I measured it about 5 inches excluded the tail which is curled up.
I guessed i just dont want to rush anything at the moment. Just wait for the next revamp till finish then I'll left the feeder tub on the ground for a certain of time before i hang it up.
His main diet right now it just dubia with occasionally snack of mealworm.
Noted with thanks.
So far previously I did try to place it inside a bucket, i did place him on a free ranging plant, but only short while for a few minutes so far its been a modern citizen just stay on the plant without moving.
Maybe I should try to place it again on a plant, if is gonna climb...
