The question may arise…why not keep Jack? He is my wild child and he’s freakin adorable. BUT…my Camiezone panther baby Herbie is turning into a big dinosaur and needs a double enclosure. And I just don’t have room for one more enclosure.

Chameleon bruising on eye and feet

Some forum members were concerned those whistle hissing sounds were a URI but he’s going on a year now with no URI, is healthy as an horse, and still makes his little territorial birdie squawks. He was born that way and it’s like having a mini velociraptor. Funny though I can go up to him...

Chameleon bruising on eye and feet

Here’s my dude. He displays some black on his casque and legs when he’s having some feelings. It can be mistaken for injuries. Also warning…they can do this cell phone esque vibration thingy when you hold them. It’s supposed to be a warning and if you don’t know to expect it, you may...

Chameleon bruising on eye and feet

Tony the Tiger is my favorite of my boys and I don’t care who knows it. He gets black patches on his white/pink arms that look like injuries but they’re not. He’s a wonderful angel

    How best to keep crickets?

Black bucket with some food in the middle. Keep it in a dark place. No cardboard. They don’t feel cornered and essentially walk around the circle of the bucket

    Clearly I’ve Complained Enough

Yes, 100%. The store managers pretty much sit there and lend a sympathetic ear but they are just taking directives from corporate. So call corporate at that # if you see something off at your local Petsmart regarding husbandry. If it’s a sick animal then that’s an actionable issue you can...

Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

Damnnnn Herbie cleans up good! We like quick clean sheds in this house. I skip misting and give them a big fat hornworm when they start looking dusty. Bye for now

Custom chameleon enclosure with panther chameleon

It might help if you added some details about the lighting fixtures and misting system. Did you build this with all new equipment (and cham) with the specific purpose of selling it as a package?

    Grasshopper Piggies

It’s taken me 2 months to grow the tiny nymphs Dean sent me into mature adults. Then they take another month to sexually mature and start mating. When they do lay eggs it takes 6 months to hatch. So if you get nymphs you’re invested for damn near a year. But I don’t care, spotted birds...
