    New Lady Chameleon (Luna)

I just got the Repashy Calcium + LoD... since that is a Calcium and vitamin should I do that once or twice a month? I also have Zilla Calcium spray. I was gonna alternate powder and spray every other week. Does that make sense?

Gut loading vs. Just feeding bugs

I just put kale, bok Choy, carrot, apple, sweet potato, kiwi.... i think that's it. In my feeder bugs cage. Only crickets and meal worms in Hawaii. They are always eating good so they are always ready to be consumed. The only down fall is they grow so fast cause the eat so good and my little...

    Baby Luna

We got her from a reptile store. She was the smallest one there. Our family had a male but he got out of his encloser. Lucky we live in Hawaii so he is out there living his best life.

@JacksJill is there any vitamin you recommend? I have read about Beta carotene and Vitamin A. Which one in your opinion is better? Or does it even matter?

    New Lady Chameleon (Luna)

Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - I think around 3 or 4 months. She is about 4 or so inches long from head to tail. She is a Jackson and have had her about 1 week. Handling - Not a lot. Probably 1 or 2 so far. Feeding - I use a feeder I made and I leave about 8-10 crickets in there and they are...

    Hawaii Department of Agriculture

For Hawaii residents that have Chameleons I emailed HDOA and asked what insects are allowed to be imported in the Hawaiian Islands. Here is the response: Hello, my name is Chris Kishimoto and I work for the Hawaii Department of Agriculture’s Plant Quarantine Branch. The Plant Quarantine Branch...

There is always a piece if kale or cricket gutloading food the encloser when I feed Tiny. I guess I just get nervous about it. And I feel bad sometimes too but then they get eaten lol then I don't feel so bad. But I understand it.

    Feeders

I will have to do more research on the silkworms. I didn't know they can't live on thier own. My stepmother was telling me that these are her favorite for 🦎.

Theses are the ones I would want to breed. The plant part makes it easy and sounds like a very healthy option for Chameleons.

    Feeders

Yup he only gets those with the vitamins. Easier to apply and he always eats them. I'm in Hawaii and the only two options are crickets and mealworms. I have been asking around to see if anyone has mirco livestock of roaches but no luck yet. If you know anyone that would be a huge help. I would...

    Feeders

Eye is about the same. I actually just contacted the vet and waiting a call back. It definitely doesn't effect his eating. I did move him to an outside encloser. He seems to be less stressed when the kids are home. I've been told that crickets will attack chameleons. I know that they can be...

    Feeders

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problems as I do. My Jackson will not eat crickets out of a feeder. He will only eat them if they are running around in his encloser. I find it weird because he will eat mealies from a feeder. Not sure if he just likes the hurt or what. If anyone has...

    Swollen eye

The vet showed how to open his mouth and put the syringe in his mouth for the meds. It only about two drops or .02ml. Its a very small amount. He normally drinks from leaves in his encloser so I rarely see him drink. I will try to feed him a cricket or two tonight when I give him his meds. I...
