    thank you. i had taken her out the exact same way the last time she laid and she seemed fine. unfortunately she passed away later the day i posted this thread. i assume it was dehydration from her not wanting to eat or drink anything for a while, and the laying being too much for her to handle...

    What are considered receptive colors? Also, she last laid on May 3rd is it still fine to try mating anytime till the 120 or 130 days? And I will take photos when she is out to eat later today, in the daylight.

    My female veiled chameleon is 9 - 10 months currently and she has already laid her first clutch of 50+ eggs. But it has been a few weeks and our friends have a male veiled chameleon we'd like to breed her with. I just dont know how many weeks before laying she needs to be at, or if that changes...

    Her new cage is a few feet away from where her old one was, along the same wall too. Her basking area is around 70-75 degrees.

    it's around 70-78 degrees at the bottom and 78-80 at the top. It really just depends what other lights I have on in my room.

    I have the whole bottom filled with coconut soil and the plant her ficus is in also has that soil. I dont know if that counts though

    I took her out last night and she went back to green with her yellow spots (bc of her age I'm guessing) And she fell asleep on my hand which never happens. Then she didn't turn this dark until this morning again.

    So my female veiled cham is around 6-7 months, and she was getting too big for her cage. I moved her into a taller one, and hasn't changed out of a dark green (almost black) color since then and its been 5 days now. Her husbandry is pretty much the same as her old cage, and it's around 70-80...
