I don't know what I'm doing wrong, please help :((

Give him time like other people have said. Nothing beats bribery and cup/hand feeding but there are a few other things you can do to help him get used to you and see you as less of a threat. You could also sit on the floor for a little bit each day (if that is possible) so he gets used to you...

Just looking for some extra pointers!!

Ok so 2 things I can see straight away. More plants for coverage and you need the correct UVB ASAP. The coil bulbs that fit into the dual dome are incorrect and don't give out sufficient UVB for Chams. You need a linear T5HO fixture with either a 6% arcadia bulb or a 5.0 Reptisun. It needs to...

    Edema

So glad to see he is doing much better, such a handsome man. I have read many cases in the UK of edema being attributed to the earth pro-A. Arcadia supplements are much more available over here with them being made in germany. Most of the cases I have read about are generally in females that...

    Beardies

Ours is turning into a Toddler 🤦‍♀️ she is on a bug ban as she is refusing her salad (we are keeping an eye on the weight) and currently will only eat anything out of the salad if it is in the tweezers and not green. Put anything remotely green in the viv and you get the usual stink eye. I...

    Frustration overload

So I have taken a back seat with the forum for a while due to various reasons, but still lurking occasionally. As the time has gone by I have been getting more and more frustrated, not by this forum at all. But the mentality I’m seeing elsewhere, of almost Us vs them. On here nobody is...

    Awake but Eyes closed??

It sounds a bit more like he has been getting too much D3 with possible D3 toxicity. I would completely stop all but the calcium only for a month. With the reptivite with D3 the schedule is phos free Calcium every feeding then once every 2 weeks dust with the reptivite. I would still be...

    Awake but Eyes closed??

Reptivite is a multivitamin that contains vitamin A. How often have you been giving it to him? Yes people have gently flushed eyes with sterile saline to help to wash debris. People have also been recommended a long misting session to try and help them with cleaning their eyes.

    Awake but Eyes closed??

You said you have multivitamins on order. Has he ever had multivitamins? If not it may well be lack of vitamin A (I’m not a vet). This is known to cause tongue and eye issues. Eyes closed during lights on is never a good thing and usually advised to visit a vet. I will tag some more...

    Caught Red Handed

I used to catch mine mid bite and I would eat a look from her as if to say ‘yes can I help you?!’ 🤣

    Many problems with him

So in the UK there are 3 places I know of that do reptile plants that are ready to go straight into the cage and I know 2 of these do Yemen bundles. Evolving exotics is fast becoming the go to for the plants, the website is still getting up and running but Facebook seems to be the place they are...

Does anybody know of a enclosure builder in the uk

Generally mass produced is cheaper (reptibreeze etc). If you get someone to build you one then you are looking at labour costs. You could always try to build one yourself. What size is your current muji?

Does anybody know of a enclosure builder in the uk

Muji are the most recognised. If you search around then there are some places that do wooden to your specifics. It all depends on what sort you want.

    I finally got bitten!

The hubby used to have to wear his motorcycle gloves if he was going to handle Rhea. She was absolutely fine with me, but wanted to rip his fingers off every time 🤣

    Veiled chameleon help

Ok so I see a few things that need changing. As they get older they eat less. The one thing I do see is no Linear UVB in your picture. This is essential. T5HO are the ones recommended with either a 5.0 reptisun or 6% arcadia bulb. This needs to be addressed immediately. There is a website...

Is it good to have substrate

Umm... a properly designed & functioning septic system IS an ecosystem. I have no experience or knowledge of septic tanks or how they work so I appreciate the info.

Is it good to have substrate

I don't have the sources, maybe @jamest0o0 can help me there, but most of the time Veileds eat the soil because of a mineral imbalance. Yes veiled are like toddlers and put everything in their mouth but with having a bioactive enclosure the CUC and good bacteria override the bad in there...

Is it good to have substrate

It's not a septic tank, its an eco system. Like the one you encounter everyday outside, just in a smaller more compact version that you control what goes in there. It's also a food chain. Even if you put paper towels down or bare bottom, unless you are there immediately as soon as your cham is...
