    Egg laying

I had this trash can on hand and it will fit well into my chameleons enclosure but I’m assuming it’s too small around for her to lay her eggs in... I know it’s deep enough

All her lights are off right now and I covered her cage so I can’t take a picture of the cage but here is a few pictures of her from yesterday and her lay bin that I set up with coconut fiber

    Gravid cham

Hey guys so I know this might be a little early but I am getting a tad nervous about my little girl because I can hear her trying to squeeze between the lay bin and the cage and dig down there. I am going to the store to get a big trash can and some play sand tomorrow but to do that I am a...

That is a really awesome video! When you say play sand what do you mean exactly? Like is there a specific brand that you would recommend? And to keep the coco fiber from collapsing what would you suggest? Thank you so much for helping me out!

I did look at the links. I got a container that is at least twelve inches deep but the one explaining what she does for her chameleon didn’t give a substrate that she used or I just missed it and for the other link the one video said not available and the other was if they are receptive or not...

I’ve done research on coconut fiber and everything I read says it’s safe and one of the cleanest fibers for them

I am using the coconut fiber. It’s still pretty wet but while I was letting it dry out a bit she started digging in her cage substrate so I put in the container with the coconut fiber but I dug a little hole with a spoon and it was stable.

I took some of her stuff out and put fresh substrate in to put the lay bin in her cage which is setting up right now

I put her on a blanket so you could see better... I don’t have a lay bin in her cage because I haven’t really seen any changes in her weight or size in general. But yes she is the one that was 3-4 months in May.

I have a female chameleon and she is usually pretty calm and never really wants to leave her enclosure but today she has not stopped moving and climbing all around. I thought maybe she wanted to come out and wander so I opened her enclosure and just sat back and watched. She immediately came...

    Heat bulbs

I keep buying heat bulbs but they keep burning out in a day so I bought a good one online but for now I’m using a household bulb in place of the heat bulb for the time being and I’m just wondering if it produces UVA rays because I already have the UVBs
  18. Michaela_pett

    Heat bulbs

I do have a separate bulb that produces UVB. but if the household bulb does not produce UVA is it okay to leave it in there for the few days I wait for my new bulb

    Heat bulbs

Thank you guys so much... do the normal household bulbs produce any UVA?

    Heat bulbs

so I keep buying heat bulbs and they all burn out super quickly. My last one burnt out in one day so I did a whole bunch of research and found one with everything my chameleon needs and it had pretty good reviews so I ordered it... while I wait for it to come in would a normal house bulb hurt...
