So I thought I had a boy chameleon for the longest time but found out she was a girl. She’s 7 months old. When I figured this out I added a bowl with sand to her enclosure. For the past week or so she’s been acting different (constant black marks) but has still been eating and drinking. This...
All the temperatures and everything is good. I have a mister that’s set on a timer throughout the day. I just rearranged his cage though. He is acting very weird and almost too active. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong he’s very healthy.
I am very careful about him and worry a lot about doing everything right. Now it’s got me worried about how comfortable he has gotten with me and my family. Wants to explore around my room and literally LEAPED out of me cage when I opened it. I’m lucky my carpet is a really fluffy one because he...
No but when so feed him I have their enclosure near me and he knows when I do and will now leave his enclosure to get as close to me as possible. I’m so lost about what to do because of how he acts with us.
So I got my veiled mail Chamaeleon out today for the first time which she was very eager about. I did this in order to clean his cage and add a new plants. He was in a box and escaped and was climbing all around my room. After a struggle I finally got him back in. An hour ago I went to add in a...
Yes he’s a veiled. He is really only a jerk to my brother when he has to feed him but even then veryyyy occasionally. He has no fear of people and will come right to us. One time he was falling off a branch so I had to lift him up and he has zero reaction.
So I want to add some more plants to his enclosure and what not. I have not handled my veiled yet from choice but he is very comfortable around me so I am not worried about that. I was just wondering for today the best way to get him out while I’m doing that.
I usually keep mine on during his shed but set it to every 3 hours instead of the normal 2 hours. Also is yours running constantly for an hour? That would be too much.
So I’m confused about handling once again. Whenever my hand even gets near him he darts to me because he associates it with food. I know y’all said just to stick my arm deep into his cage which I haven’t really tried because as soon as I even go to open his cage he comes straight to the front...
I have heard they are poisonous but not 100% sure. I do know you can use devils ivy tho (which is a pothos plant). They seem to really love those and Id highly recommend that. I also have umbrella plants that are great.
I have a veiled so I cannot relate but I do see what your saying. There’s only so much you can do but avoid directly listing as water makes it harder for the skin to shed because it will stick.
