Update: HE POOPED. It was... a lot. But thank God.

We read it in enough places that we had to give it a shot because the vet couldn't see him for a while and he started rejecting food and was puffy. But we don't plan to do it again. We are adjusting some husbandry and upping the house temperature a bit.

Hes never going to forgive us for putting him in warm water. We had to washcloth him and hold him in the water (I was extremely gentle and his mouth never dipped into the water) because he was biting and scrabbling to get out. We temperature checked with two thermometers, he wasn't too warm...

Mel had been a bit between sheds too, and he was hiding for two days and I was starting to get worried, then yesterday he was out and peely and I was like... oh thats why you were grumpy. I wonder if winter time slows down their shedding? You have a cute baby!!!!

His mister was just going off, I don't tend to hand mist, it offends him greatly lol but thank you for the tip! He seems mostly happy, always hard to tell with a veiled, but he eats aggressively and tries to bite me when I clean his cage so I figure we are good!!!

Mel really doesn't like being sprayed, until he's shedding, and then he basks in it happily (well... as happily as a veiled can)

My husband is the green thumb in the relationship and he is planning on doing exactly that! If they die though because Mel is a monster and destroys everything it is only a twenty dollar hit ??

Orchids are on sale at home depot for twelve bucks for the big ones and eight for the small ones. Never thought we'd be able to afford orchids for him but here we are!!! Tomorrow he gets a cage makeover! (We will effectively clean them all off)
