    Potential Eye Issue

Okay, well I looked into chameleon eye cleaning...and I think it might have been that. I've never seen them do anything other than the whole sucking them in when you mist, but on some videos they do this rotating thing and it kinda looks like a bulge forms. I believe he was rubbing his eye...

    Potential Eye Issue

Sorry I confused you. No, that isn't the concern I was describing. I thought it might have caused by that, but I was just spit-balling. Hopefully he was just cleaning his eye.

    Potential Eye Issue

The, what I believe is, stuck shed? Yes. Edit: Yeah, I believe the issue is in his inner eye. I couldn’t get a picture of it unfortunately which is why I didn’t post one at start :(

    Potential Eye Issue

That's the thing. He has no behavioral difference, and is acting just fine. I took some pictures yesterday of his eye, but keep in mind you can't see what I was talking about. But maybe someone with more experience can tell if somethings off, it just looks rather normal to me. Although, I do see...

    Potential Eye Issue

Okay, so I saw something very strange and rather alarming on the inside of my veiled chameleon's eye. I only saw a glimpse of it, but what I did see it appeared to be a light colored bump/lump on the inside of his eye. He was scratching it against one of his branches, but when I went to grab my...

    Possible MBD Rehabilitation Setup

Thank you for the reply! I've been looking around and was thinking maybe a 10 gallon fish tank? It would be probably be similar in size to plastic shoebox, right? Just wondering if that would work, just since I already have one on hand. I've been trying to think of what to do for UVB, most of...

    Possible MBD Rehabilitation Setup

Alright, so, I have the misfortune for working for PetSmart and we have a chameleon that definitely has developed MBD. My manager has agreed to "adopt him out" which means I would be able to take him home, and they would have to write him off - aka a loss in sales. So, if I do take him I was...

    Sunken Eyes?

Thanks everyone for the responses. I did forget to mention that his urates have been normal, aside from one day when it was tinged orange on the end. Then the days following it went back to normal. And yes, I want a misting system very badly but it hasn't been in the cards for me as life keeps...

Petition to stop Petco from killing Chameleons!

Hiya, I'm actually an employee of PetSmart and agree hundred percent. I even am lucky enough to work in one where most of the pet care employees now quite a bit, that being said a little less on the chameleon side. Its frustrating a great deal to us knowing that the husbandry we have is so off...

    Sunken Eyes?

Hello all, I wanted someone's opinion if my Veiled's eyes look sunken. He has always drank fine straight from a dripper in the past, however there's been an issue for the past few days with the dripper stopping after I leave for work. I have replaced it now, but I was wondering if he looked...

    Is this a burn?

I think it’s a burn as well. Also you should be using calcium without D3 everyday, and with D3 twice a month. As well as a multivitamin twice a month. Usually rotating between the two once week.

That sounds like a good idea. I think I will do that, thank you.

    Slug-Like Thing

Thank you for the reply. Well, great. I will defiantly be doing that. I think I might re-pot them just in case. Or maybe start with the Schefflera, because the jasmine has attached vines all through the enclosure and is going to be a pain. I also feel silly calling it slug-like, when it was...

    Strange Coloring

I know, the first time he did it he was just in the corner away from anything, which he has never done, and was a super a dark color. He hasn't done it since then, and hasn't displayed any other concerns so I know I was just stressing over a behavior I hadn't seen. Thank you for the reply. :)

    Slug-Like Thing

Hey, I'm a little concerned because I found a slug like creature in the bottom of my chameleons cage while I was doing my weekly clean. I don't know what it is and was hoping someone does, and how to prevent others from showing up. I've posted a picture, ignore the dirty rag I was cleaning with...
