Hello CF members, been awhile since my last post here. As of right now my panther is being kept upstairs in the bedroom which isn't the most ideal space. We have no hvac system installed yet (70 year old house with incredibly outdated ducting/electrical/etc) so it gets quite warm like 80+*...
So I just moved into our first house (woot homeowners) and a few days ago I set up Leif's enclosure after taking everything apart and cleaning. When I came home I went upstairs to check on the cage and noticed at least a dozen or so large, black ants. Especially under the uvb/light hood!?!
I...

I think I now know why girls take selfies in the bathroom, the lighting is perfect lol. I have to wait til March at least until we can go outside for some natural pics. Anyways, here's Leif. He's so chill he won't fire up at his reflection or at my phone anymore. I have to get my son's chameleon...
So for about a week I've noticed this grey patch on his lower mouth/gular area. It hasn't gotten better or worse but I assume it's from rubbing on the screen door and the various branches in the enclosure. The only vet with reptile experience said he looks fine but I went ahead and got a bit of...
My son and I found a young common snapping turtle very close to our driveway so I brought him in for a few days to teach my son about reptiles, wildlife, etc. We released him yesterday in a shallow pond a few hundred feet away. They are such cool little 'dinosaurs' so I figured I'd share some...
I set up my enclosure today (breeder series) and figured I'd start a new thread with just dragonstrand cages only. The other two threads are great resources but I had a hard time scrolling through age old pictures to get an idea on how to set mine up.
If this is a problem or mods don't want...
So this month marks Lief's hatch date. I cannot believe he is already a year old and I've only owned him for seven months. Anyways, here's to several more years with this placid, gentle giant. Now for pics!! All in chronological order of course.
This photo ^^^ was actually featured on...
So a little bit of background about me. I am a huge 'conspiracy theorist' and 100% believe there are other life forms in this universe. Where I live, we have several forest fires burning so I was taking pictures of the smoke at my work. As I looked at the sun, I noticed this weird...
Since the most recent thread I could find was from 2012, I figured we should start a new PJ's thread since the community is so active!
Here's my 8 month old cross locale. This was taken last night with my Google Pixel.
I found this guy at my work today and I can honestly say I have never seen one in person. Thanks to @trickedoutbiker for helping me to 100% identify and make sure he is ok to feed off. Hopefully I can get some pics and a video of Leif eating it Thursday when I'm off work. Edit: duh, forgot to...
Well Leif had a shed after what seemed like forever! He's only 7-8 months old and the colors are only getting more incredible.
PS; as I'm typing this he decided to defecate on my arm and shoulder. Good thing I love animals lol!
Good evening chameleon forums fam!
As my title states, my chameleon tends to only poop when he's crawling on my arm. He literally held it for 4 days and dropped a duece this morning while I had him out and then again this afternoon while we were getting some sun.
I searched for other threads...
Like the title states, I was cleaning out my feeder bins and found this thing in with my bsfl. It is alive because when I poke it, it moves back and forth like it's in a pupate/cocoon stage.
Good morning forum members.
I've come to a dilemma with my current enclosure. Where I live (mountains of NC around 3300ft) it is constantly humid during the summer with outside temps getting in the mid-high 80s. I've been battling these tiny, black ants since spring. We've always called them...
Just wanted to share some pics of my kammerflage kreations panther. He's a "tour of Madagascar", sire is Tormund Giantsbane who is also a cross locale. He's 4-5 months old and seems to get brighter and more comfortable in his new home every day. First picture is straight out of the shipping...
