My veiled loves collard greens mustard greens and kale but i only give them to him once a week as a treat. I just put them in a food dish in his cage or sometimes if I'm lucky he will take them from my hand
I started buying from Fluckers 100 shipped to my house for around 9.00 every two weeks. Way more convenient than having to drive to petco every few days and the crickets are much healthier! I am going to try dubias again since its not so hot out maybe they will be alive when they get here.
The two panther chameleons are still in the tank at petco along with about 4 veilds of various age. The humidity in the tank was >20%. One of the Panthers kept licking the side of the tank; and they are both dull brown. One of the veilds was down in some dirt walking around looking for food I...
Her front legs look kind of bowed to me which is a sign of MBD. If she has eggs they absorb a lot of calcium, so she may not be getting enough for both eggs and her bones. She looks a little plump to me too which suggests she may have eggs she needs to lay.
My chewie is an escape artist and manages to escape his cage at least 3 times a day and I can figure out how he's doing it . So i put a tree next to his cage and that's where he goes . I put him back in his cage and next time I look he's on the tree again. I would put a tree or some plants out...
I went through this with my veiled awhile back, and he has stopped trying to get out so much now. However my panther chameleon has recently just begun doing this hopefully it doesn't last too much longer. It being puberty and them looking for a mate does sound like. Logical explanation to me...
Thank you! It's the first time I've seen him so light , he is usually darker greens and blues, with more reds showing up everyday. For the past few nights when i see him sleeping he's super light. Almost white with the blue.
Yoda is my veiled and he is so grumpy and looks like an old dinosaur. He will eat greens out of my hand if I hold them through a hole in his cage from the outside . He does enjoy showers now, but he didn't when he was younger. He won't go to bed unless it's completely dark
Chewie is my 7...
My veiled got something in his eye when he was a baby and it got swollen and he wouldn't open it, I put a little saline solution on a q-tip and gently washed his eye and it was like a miracle immediately his eye was better and normal
I went to petco to get calcium without d3 and they didn't have it. Not only that the "reptile expert" on duty didn't even know what it was ! He asked me what d3 was and what it does for them .
I am working on a cage for my babies. I know I have to waterproof the wood. I got some stuff called Rainguard. I was wondering if anyone knows how safe this is? It says Eco friendly so I assume it's non toxic?
I was just at petco and for the first time I've seen, they have a couple of panther babies. Living in the same tank as the veiled babies.. I just want to rescue them all!
When i ordered mine they emailed me to make sure that I would be home to receive him when he arrived before 10am. They did forget to put the lot number of my house on the address so the FedEx man didn't known which house to drop him at and I spent all morning on the phone with FedEx. They tried...
My yoda is also a jerk-face and i hate even putting my hand in his cage. He is more tolerant now than he was a couple of months ago though. My panther chameleon is nice, and will eat out of my hand but has yet to let me hold him either. I am happy just looking at them . My husband thinks I'm...
I quit letting yoda out because every time I let him out he would jump off his tree and try to run for it . Maybe he doesn't feel safe out in the open .
