HELP! my cham is extremely dehydrated - can't get to vet for 2 1/2 hours

I used a dropper and kept putting a little water around my Jackson's mouth. He would then open his mouth and let me put little bit in his mouth. Hoping for the best for you!

    Shed or Skin disease!!???

Looks like a shed coming. His little spikes down his back look white. That is usually how I know my Newton is about to shed. Once Newton starts, it is very fast.

    Chameleon friends!

Congratulations! I use the fogger 3-4 times a day. But I also like hand misting Newton. Newton is still young and I like the interaction with him and sometimes I am able to catch him drinking when I open door and hand mist him. I have also put him on his tree in the shower. I'm not sure he...

    Crickets... Crickets everywhere!

I keep egg carton pieces in with my crickets. They are always hanging in those things. I just pick one up and shake crickets from there into a bag to dust. If I have too many, it easy to put them back in the cricket keeper.

Just want to get some things straight

Hi! I put paper towels in bottom of my cage. Easy to dry out and clean weekly. I have vines back and forth across cage with an umbrella plant, a pothos and another live plant, as well as some fake leafy things. I have put Newton on a plant in the shower before as the house is really...

    He or she?

Thanks for feedback! Being a newbie when I shopped, I didn't ask what kind. He said he should have colors of bright green with some red stripes. I have been trying to email him about what kind and have not heard back. Guess I will find the number and call. Thanks again!!

    He or she?

This was sold to me as a male panther chameleon. I have been told recently it may be female. It is almost 5 months old. Just looking for some more opinions. A little upset if it is female, but wouldn't change it for anything. Nancy

    What got you into chams?

I started with a Jackson and mis-information. The Jackson did not live very long. Could have been age, illness, never found out. The vet couldn't find anything outwardly wrong with him. I then researched more about the care and keeping of chameleons. When Repticon came to the area, I was...

    dark spot on lip

Hi Carol, the day after posting this he (it) started shedding, so maybe that was part of it. I was told he was a male when I bought him, so I am hoping that is true. I am hoping he is done shedding today so I can try to get a picture for you. He still seems so small, maybe they had his age...
