I purchased an Ambanja Panther from a reputable breeder. He was about 3 inches and about 3 months old. I had him for about 6 months he very rarely ate and only grew about an inch the whole time. Previously I had a Veiled for 6 years and an Ambilobe for 3 years. My husbandry was exoterra glass...
Outdoor phobia
My Cham does the same thing. He gets violent as well and when I bring him in he calms down after about an hour. I kept at it the whole summer. I also set up a large 24x24x48 cage outside as well. I leave him out there all day just for the sunlight. Even after 3 months he still...
Ive had my veiled for about 6 months now, he's about 8 months old. Today was the first 75 degree day in NY. Everyone talks about how great natural sunlight is for Chams. I took him out in my backyard (full sun) and he completely FREAKED!! Exhibiting wild, out of control behavior that I've never...
feeding hornworms
The first time I offered my cham a hornworm he wouldn't go for it, I kept trying and trying because I heard they were so good for him but no luck. Finally one day I got tired of wasting money on these expensive worms so I waited until he was very relaxed and had his mouth open...
Just got one a week ago!
I got that fountain a week ago, great concept, low maintenance but... Very noisy!!! I bought it to replace my dripper that looked like plant with 3 leaves. That dripper had nothing but issues when my cham moved it I would come home to a flooded terrarium. What I wound...
My veiled has been eating Pothos since he was a baby. They sell it in the pet store with organic soil and even recommend it for chams. I've never had a problem but if your vet says no then I would not do it. The truth is Pothos wouldn't be found in Yemen since they are a low light plant so I get...
Big tip for me was no sudden moves! come in slow and just be patient, if she doesn't walk on your hand within in a few minutes pull away slowly and try again later. She will eventually feel comfortable with your hand being close by and walk right on it!
My veiled just got done shedding for the second time since I got him. Seems like they shed every 3 months and it takes 4-5 days for it all to come off. He just wants to be alone and isn't very friendly during this period. When he's done the colors are very vivid and he goes back to himself.
Your girlfriend considers your cham a threat and is constantly making jokes about how he gets all the attention (very obvious that she really means it)!
I recently went away for the weekend, when I returned I found that my timer had malfunctioned and left the lights on for 54 hours straight! I got a new timer since and put him back on schedule. He seems to be okay but I'm wondering if I've done any damage to him in any way?
