John,
I'm not sure how you top off your SW tank. I use an old peristalic pump (Litermeter) controlled by a float switch in the sump. I then have a 30 gal top off tank out in the garage that I fill with RO\DI water. I use a hose bib timer to control the RO unit and that pretty much tops off the...
Jason,
If your in this to make money then I'd walk away. Your only going to make things worse by posting, not to mention stressing yourself out by reading threads that pertain to your product...Any decent online dealer will tell you the same.
There are a few people here, just like every...
Its thought that using RO\DI water and or Distilled water can actually strip minerals from the body. I know its eats lesser grade stainless steel pipe up where reg tap water wont.
Debby, I'm in no way suggesting bottle water is the answer. I'm think it would only benefit them more then just plain RO water or distilled water. I know what Coke puts in Dasani ...you don't and never will, if I told you, well! you know the story :) I know about filtered water because that's...
Justin, I have to say that I do drink Dasani but its not because I work for Coke, its because its the best tasting water I have found. I pay the same for my Dasani that everybody else does...no freebies here. If I'm dripping I use Dasani or RO, misting is RO...Like most of you know I'm a reef...
I used RO water, it would probably benefit the Chameleon more if you used something like Dasani, its RO water but with minerals added back in....just a thought.
WOW!!! you have your hands full...13 years, good for you. My wife and I will celibate our 25 year in three weeks. I need to take a snooze just reading about all the things you have to do.
Welcome
RichLee,
I'm by no means a wood guy. If I were going to go darker I would have gone with oak rather then pine. I didn't like the way the pine took the dark stain (center trim) I'm probably going to swap it out and try and match the panel color.
Thanks Justin..I don't know about your house but at mine we can open the windows;) I'm with you tho man. I'm going to have to see how things go. I'm doing lots of reading now. I hate it cause the more reading I do the more money I spend.
I'm trying to cut back on power as much as possible...
Tell me what you all think....as you can see the enclosure sits in front of a window, a south facing window that gets lots of direct sunlight during the day. Do you think it would be a good idea to cut away half of the solid back, say the top half and screen that in?
I'm not sure on natural...
Looks like I was way off on the basking light Brad. I setup the new enclosure and got a temp reading in the basking area of 68-69. The bulb I was using was only a 50 watt, plus its pretty cold in here, maybe 65 in the mornings. I bought a few more size and i'll play with it for a few days to get...
