Long story short, I'm moving out of my current place due to harassment/threats from a neighbor (there's some drug use going on and I don't want to be around it) in a month and my coworker offered to let me stay in her house while she's in CA during May for free in exchange for looking after her...
I'm leaving for a week and a half on vacation and have a friend watching my cham. I have all of the watering/misting automated and was thinking of filling dixie cups with crickets (and feeder) that he could leave in the cage every day for minimum fuss.
Anyone have any other ideas on making...
My enclosure sits on a 2-teir wire rack that I crisscrossed with wire cables to allow drainage into the tub below while still making the openings too small for him to climb out. The enclosure is about 1" wider than the rack, though, so I had fixed a strip of mesh (the kind made for screen...
It's my coat closet by the front door. The water heater is behind it and I think he must've been climbing up the cables/pipes and then onto the door. It was a total surprise to just come down and see him suddenly sitting there. It gave me a start!
My panther (~1 year old now) somehow crashed through the bottom of his enclosure yesterday afternoon and I haven't been able to find him in my house. Any ideas on how I could lure him out or suggestions? I've searched the house high and low. :(
I actually just wrote a post about this b/c my guy suddenly turned cranky and wasn't as hungry over the last couple days and it's been a while since he shed last...I hear it's pretty normal of a reaction.
My 5 month old panther has suddenly started behaving weirdly; for the last month or two he has always come down to the lower front of the cage in the mornings (I feed him the same time every day) and hung out there for a while usually.
Over the last couple of days he goes up to his basking...
Hey guys, I was wondering how often I should expect my cham to shed. He's about 5 months old (panther) and I've seen him do it once at about the 3-month mark.
I noticed that my panther (5 months old) today suddenly got a brownish patch on his head that looks quite a bit like dry skin. It goes from the tip of his mouth to the crest, and nowhere else.
Is this related to shedding in the future, or something I should be concerned about?
I took it out and placed the whole enclosure on a wire rack for drainage purposes, with a large tub underneath. It's been way more convenient than having the plastic.
Sometime after 5pm yesterday, my cham (6 month old panther) escaped from his enclosure...I think he snuck through the bars across the base and must've wandered out. I've been tearing my place apart looking for him and set up a vineway back to the cage from the ground...any advice? :(
Also, I...
I think that is something special, and it's awesome. I just got my 4 month old to crawl mostly onto my hand for the first time and it made my weekend. :)
