    New Addition

I used to breed chameleons several years ago, and recently decided to get back into the hobby. I picked up this male on the weekend, and will be buying him a mate when it gets warm enough here for me to properly seal my DIY tank. These are just quick pictures from my cell. When I have...

    ivy plant

Whether or not the animal eats the plants directly isn't the only issue. Some toxic plants will have the toxins absorbed through water droplets that land on the leaves. When your chameleon drinks, it can still be exposed that way.

    Success with ExoTerra Terrarium?

Drilling glass is actually quite easy if you take your time, and use the proper bit. For my dart frog cages, I take exo terras and put a custom glass top on them. I drill them for a mistking nozzle, and have never had any issues. This is using dirt cheap ebay bits from hong kong. Watch some...

    Success with ExoTerra Terrarium?

The classic thoughts on glass cages were a big no. The main reasons being stated against it were the lack of air flow, which could lead to respiratory infections, and the animals being able to see their reflections. There have been some more recent studies conducted that show that it's not...

    Darts and tads

I also keep darts. I've got a few calling now, and am just waiting on eggs. They're a tonne of fun to keep, and I find it almost impossible to stop expanding my collection. Dan

    so excited

Mistkings are great, and very easy to put together. If it looks like it fits, it likely does, and is likely the right spot for it. There are even arrows on the intake/out take so you can easily set up the tubing. The included digital timer is also great, makes it very easy to set up a regular...

    Bathroom/Chameleon Room???

Another thing to consider is that there are some pretty crazy chemicals used in bathroom cleaning supplies. You would need to make sure that you wouldn't be using anything with any bad fumes, or with any way for water or chemicals to leak anywhere near your animals. -Dan

    Does she look healthy?

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately I'm north of the border. I have a supplier that I can get good quality hatchlings from, but this included the cage and most of the supplies I'd need. I'm currently building a large custom cage, but I can't finish it until the weather gets a bit...

    Does she look healthy?

Okay, thanks. I'm also concerned that he hasn't sent me any pictures with her full tail, and there may be issues with it's tip. The whole things felt kind of sketchy, and this is just the kicker. Thank you.

    Does she look healthy?

I haven't owned any chameleons in several years and was thinking of getting back into the hobby. I found quite a good deal for a complete setup with a 8month old female veiled chameleon, and have only received some pictures. This is her. I'm wondering if she looks healthy to you. I'm slightly...
