So this is clutch #3 laid Oct 15, 2012. They started hatching last week which was a bit shocking! Nonetheless here's what I saw today: Fingers crossed this little guys tail can busy the shell open enough for him to crawl out! Lmfao! Silly thing.

Well our bengal cross cat Daisy had her first litter and for how tiny she was she delivered 7 kittens! Sadly the runt wouldn't latch and only lasted 24 hours despite my efforts to make her look after it. So 6 big fat healthy kittens are left. Most of the kittens look like little cows lmfao...

So some here's the first And here's the second: I've never had to sex panthers so this is all new to me lol. To bad it wasn't as easy as it is with veileds haha. Cheers!

Last night we had quite the weather system go through. Freezing rain, high winds. Woke up at 11:30 pm to the power being out. We live in a 100+ year old house so it gets cold pretty quick. The house had already dropped 5 degrees. And the Cham enclosures were sitting at 15C ... Power didnt...

So our new baby has arrived (not home yet but will be in a few hours, gotta wait for the bf to pick it up). Here's a pic tho... I know it's hard to tell but what's everyone's opinion. Is this a sambava baby or was I duped?

So I had to pick between a blue bar ambilobe or a sambava.... So I picked the sambava. Nosy Bes are my dream chams but the boyfriend likes the wild colourations of the other locals. So he wins. It's unsexed so everyone expect pictures and questions! Lol. It'll be here tomorrow woo...

Just wondering what everyone's general practice is regarding hatchlings in the incubator. Do you take them out as soon as you see them? Do you leave them for a few hours? Over night? What's your general rule of thumb? :)

Well... These 3 eggs left of the 40 still in the incubator but my gut tells me they are infertile. We had 29 hatch and 1 died in the egg while hatching. Here's some up to date pics of some of the babies.

So our girl has been her perfect grumpy self the last few days. She laid a clutch of 64 eggs in Oct but has put back on her weight and was looking healthy. Then yesterday I notice (while she's up on some branches) there's 3 very small eggs on the bottom of the cage. This was quite a shock...

So baby #23 hatched this morning (at like 5am. The 11 month old baby had me up lol she's getting sick so she's pretty cranky). Then I check on all the my little babies and immediately see one little one on the floor on its side, clearly dead. UGH. We've been going so good, all dented eggs...

21 of 40 eggs have hatched so far and we've been sexing as we go (little bump on hind feet or not) but I've noticed the females also normally appear more of a dull green compared to the males. So I was wondering, is it possible to sex via colour as well? Girl on left, boy on right

So we now have 14 baby veileds and 2 more eggs have little green noses sticking out lol I took a few pics today just briefly. That's one of the first hatched. Almost 2 weeks old. This little one hatched yesterday all brown/purple coloured. He's been roaming around the enclosure like...

Day 15... And only 6 of 36 have hatched thus far! 2 have their heads out ATM lol. Anyone care to share their extreme wait times from first hatch to finished hatching?

Well 5 have hatched... And #6 has its head out hehe. This is pretty exciting... Just wish they would all hatch at once! I'll post more pics in the next few days.
