Has anyone ever used a thick twine rope as vines in the cage? Or any other type of rope?
My main concerns are whether they could climb on it well and will it mold when soaked.
Any input appreciated. thanks!
I was there pretty much all day Saturday. I only left with a branch this year but when I got home I put it in the "to be new enclosure" and it was a perfect centerpiece! Cant wait to get this thing finished.
Great score to you also!
I am building a new enclosure and I had the thought of mounting the UVB inside the enclosure. I am not sure if this is a bad idea. Probably the more i think about it.
My main questions were does the bulb get hot enough to hurt the cham if he/she gets a hold of it?
Is it really gonna give...
I like. Looks like the door sinks into the frame which gives it a good look. Seems to me you made a way for inexpensive materials to look elegant. All those boards are the same size yea? If so what size? and how much did this cost u overall?
I made that post at school so i tried to rush thru the "how to ask for help" thingy. The Calcium calendar is D3 twice a month and multivitamin twice a month rotating weeks and then calcium without D3 every feeding other than the specified ones.
Im thinking now that its not eggs since the dirt...

Handling - He/She has trouble climbing or gripping so quite a bit but Tomo never gets angry at me or anything. Very docile even as a baby.
Feeding - Mostly crickets with D3 and w/o D3. Sometimes...
I wouldn't trip over the breeder knowing the sex because its pretty much impossible to tell at a young age with that species. You would need a dna test or an xray. The fact the told you it was a boy was just misleading because males usually sell more and can sometimes cost more
does the bleaching/cooking process solve the poisonous issues? My cham chews on his branches from time to time and I am scared to put anything im unsure about in there.
Named mine Tomo after the guitarist from the band thirty seconds to mars. Its my favorite band and I will someday have the whole band in chameleon form
yeah some people say chameleons need complete dark to sleep. This might be the case with yours. I would consider investing in one of the ceramic heaters. They are a bit pricey but they but off no light.
My cham doesnt mind the purple light at all but all chams are different.
SO my cham has been using his back 2 feet alot less lately. Usually one or the other is just hanging in the past few days. Was thinking it was a phase or something but then tonight when I cam in to check on him, he was sound asleep, completely hanging from a leaf just holding on by his 2 front...
