Night Heat Lamp

I recently bought a night lamp/bulb to keep my 7month old veiled warmer at night, seeing that temperatures are dropping. When turning lights on in my room prior to this purchase, he never woke up or seem disturbed. However, every time I come home at night and the heat lamp is on he is wide awake and doesnt seem to be getting sleep. Any suggestions to alternate ways to keep him warm?

im new here and new to chameleons but what about those ceramic heat emitters?

yeah some people say chameleons need complete dark to sleep. This might be the case with yours. I would consider investing in one of the ceramic heaters. They are a bit pricey but they but off no light.

My cham doesnt mind the purple light at all but all chams are different.
