I use meal worms to handfeed as well to keep my cham used to my hand.. I'd just limit the amount you give him if it's everyday. Maybe 1-2 a day as a treat rather than 3-4, and only after he's eaten at least one to two of his other feeders. Just my opinion though..
Lucky you that you can buy...
In my experience, hand-feeding is the best method to get your cham used to you, and your hand.. It will view your hand as a source that provides treats, thus a positive... Go from that, to luring him out with his favorite treat, little by little, until the treat is just outside of his launching...
I would say noon is probably too late for your lights to come on unless the room you have him in is very dark. I know, in my place, the sun starts shooting through the blinds around 630-7 am. I have his lights come on around 7. I keep them on til about 8, so he gets about 12-13 hours of light. I...
Wow was I wrong.. Regular garden snails are ok?? They digest the shells just fine? what makes slugs no good, but snails ok? I'm so confused  lol
Would love to see a pic of the cup/stick method.
I currently let all my feeders freerange.. Koop's pretty much tired of crickets, so I only use those as emergency feeders if I run out. i've been using dubias as a staple, with meal worms as treats. Occasionally i'll order horns and silk worms...
OP, where do you get your locusts from?? Do you catch them or you know a site that sells them? I'd love to get some.
Also, i think 4 meal worms in one feeding or one day is quite a bit, no? I believe they offer very little nutritional value, and there hard shell can cause some digestion...
I also spent a long amount of time searching for sites that sell silks. 8 out of 10 were sold out.. Coastal only had them available in the east coast, and it would've cost way too much to get them to me here in Cali.
I found a site called buyfruitflies.com and bought a 50 cup and food for the...
Not trying to knock your advice, and I'm no expert by any means, but in my experience, that's not enough drinking opportunity for the cham. Not only that, but that may not be efficient enough humidity.
OP, if you're home all day, or for the majority of the day, hand-misting is fine. Has your...
Awesome, but ugly, little creatures. i didn't know they go through so many steps.. I always assumed the white ones were albinos  lol then I assumed they were eaten because they disappeared, when in all reality, they could've just turned into adults
