If he is young, he might not like them my veiled only ate about two or three when he was about seven months old, now that he's almost a year and a half he loves them.
When I bought Euigene my one and only male veiled he was only about two weeks old, I never had a problem feeding him or anything, but I do think that new owners should not own a chameleon at this age, because I know see petsmart selling newborns, they couldn't be over two to three days old!
You could always use collard greens and mustard greens, because hornworm food and silkworm food are all artificial. They will grow real fast on these greens too!
Hey whatcamo I feed mine on a mixture of collardgreens and romaine lettuce, they grow quickly, and its all natural, because the hornworm food is all artifical. :)
My one year old veiled does the same exact thing, he puffs up at me but if I leave it on a leaf he will go for it, so I'm guessing that she doesn't want you to touch her worms, maybe it's her favorite food and she doesn't want you to run off with it!
I kiss my little euigene every time I take him out his cage, I kiss him right on his nose, my mom does too! If you actually clean their cage often, like twice a week, and totally disenfecting twice a month, you won't have to worry about that.
I just sent mine in, they will replace it for free, there's a two year warrenty, and they paid for the shipping, I had the same problem as you and wanted my money back but they said they don't give refunds. I wish I would have gotten a mist king, so when this monsoon breaks I'm going with a mist...
Don't worry about his size if he's eating he will eventually grow, I always compared my veiled to others and was so worried, a female that was 6 months old was bigger than my oneyear old male, but all of a sudden he grew at least four inches. :D
He may have had water on him and was licking it off his lips, because in the photo his seems to be wet, and eye puffyness could be from the water hitting his eye, or he may have a blockage in his duct it's called the nasolacrimal duct which drains from the roof of the mouth and when blocked can...
