    Unusual panther egg laying experience

So my little girl just laid her first clutch of eggs this week, and when I saw that she had been digging and laid eggs, I removed the laying bin and looked frantically for the eggs. I found one actually laid in the bin, several on the floor of the cage, two in her plant pot, and one at the top...

Habanero update, and ? about bees lol

Well, its been a couple months since I've posted, but habanero is happy as anything, and really starting to color up. He'll be 5 months old on the 23rd!! The pictures dont really do him justice, he shows some really cool blues purples and reds though! Also, I let him free range a bit...

any tips for acclimating to a free range?

I've set up a small free range for habanero, and he's been spending a couple hours a day in it, but when he's hanging out in it he's Waaaaay more territorial and aggressive towards me if I even enter the room haha. He doesn't care when I'm right next to him while hes in his cage. His free range...

    tongue length?

What's the general consensus on the distance chameleons can shoot their tongues in relationship to their overall length? Because I just watched my habanero snipe out a cricket that was definitely further away than his length (snout to tail tip, not vent). I never saw my veiled shoot that far...

    Happy Habanero!

Thanks to some good advice, I realized that he was feeling chilly now that he's gotten bigger after a shed, and raised his temps a bit, he's now much happier and active, so thanks guys!!

    Habanero hates shedding!

So my bearded dragon and my panther chameleon are both shedding today, very grumpy little guys. Figured I'd share a pic! He's very dark today, not his usual happy greenish, so the shedding skin contrasts really well haha.

    Meet Habanero

This is Habanero, his dad was a red bar ambilobe and his mom was a sambava, I can't wait until his colors come in! He was hatched on October 23rd, so he's not quite 2 months old

Need some equipment advice, thanks in advance!

Ok, so I'm building two new cages this weekend when I have some free time. (Very rare with full time school and two jobs lol). I have the cage designs worked out, but I need some advice on the best available methods for controlling temperature/humidity. I'll be using live plants and a mistking...

    Panther colors?

So my little dude is seven weeks old today, and he's started showing red/orange around his throat. His he's a cross between a high red ambilobe male and a screameleons sambava female so ill expect him to be super red and orange when he's grown. When have everyone else's panthers colors started...

    houseflies/mantids

Does anyone have any experience they would care to share regarding establishing a breeding colony of either house flies Or any reasonably hardy variety of praying mantis? Id like to try my hand at both, I feel like they would add some great variety to my feeders.

First time Panther owner, would love any feedback on my setup!

I've done a fair bit of research myself, but I think it would be pretty unfair to my little guy if I refused to ask just because I felt I was doing a good enough job on my own, and id like to correct any issues before they could become problematic. • Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and...

    Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forums, but a long-time lover of chameleons, so I wanted to introduce myself. I recently brought a baby Panther home, who seems to be doing great (ill post to the husbandry forum to make sure my care is adequate), but the hobby for me started with a veiled chameleon I rescued...
