Hello, I had a 3 year old ambilobe panther chameleon who I found dead in the bottom of his enclosure this evening. I have no idea why, and just blaming myself. He looked a bit odd this morning, he had his eyes closed and when I touched him slightly just to check he was okay he went for me, which...
Hey thanks for the replies. Woke up this morning and she's passed away, was lifeless at the bottom of the cage. Feel like I let her down because I didn't do something sooner. Thanks for trying to help though. Xx
If anyone could help in anyway would be much appreciated!
I have a female panther chameleon, she's about 3 and a half years old and things don't seem to be going well! About a month or so ago she started coming up with dark marks along her side's and along her spine. I took her to my local...
My female panther chameleon has started to close one eye during the day. She opens it when eating food, but closes it again soon after. I'm extremely worried as I don't want anything to happen to her. She has now gone into a shadded area and closed both eyes, or gone to sleep, but all lights...
Just checked on her and she's out of her hole and climbed out the bin, I've offered her food but she doesn't want it, so I've left 1 bug in there for her in case she is still a little weak or something, and she has access to water. I haven't taken the bin out to check for eggs yet, do you think...
I've managed to turn her bin and get a picture of her, shes at the bottom part of the whole, if you can't work her out xx
I thought I might have saw her tail pop out again yesterday, but i'm not 100% sure.
She could come out at night while i'm asleep but can't be sure of that either xx
Thanks for the help! :)
I've woke up this morning and she is still in her tunnel, looks like she's gone down even further now, I can't actually see any bit of her.
So hopefully she is just finding the right depth.
The substrate is fine, I can see the top part of her tunnel and its holding...
I'll start from the beginning.
I bred my female panther Chameleon with my male and she showed sign of having eggs about 35-40 days after her. She seemed to find it difficult to dig in the first substrate I have her and I ended up taking her to the vets and they gave her the hormonal injection...
I posted a thread the other day about this and thought she was okay now, but I'm still not 100% sure.
I'll start from the beginning though.

The substrate is ok it did not collapse she just dug a snug fit hole, i am unsure weather she is going to continue laying but it looks like she is, she is back in her bin and looking around. luckily she is a very docile cham and dosnt mind being handled unlike my others so hopefully she isnt to...
Ok shes climbed out of the laying bin has returned to her normal colours and i have been keeping a close eye on her, i havnt been able to see if she looks like shes laid as im trying not to disturb her. she is now back in her laying bin but i dont want to keep looking to see if she is digging.
