I have had my Chameleon for almost 2 months and he is probably around 3 months- 4 months old not sure. Anyways, he shed a few days ago and then started looking all dark and brown on his head (around the crown part) and looks really dark on his body and legs. He is acting normal, eating normal...

Also was wondering if anyone has ever used a substrate heater to help evaporate water at the bottom since its a glass terrarium. Exo terra sells some that are for rainforest terrariums so figured i would ask if anyone has tried this.

Just trying to figure out the best misting cycle to use. I have a Monsoon Auto mister. Just trying to figure out how many times a day and for how long.Thanks

The back drop came with the Terrarium. We bought the Exo-terra kit. Im sure you could find it online somewhere.

I can tell he likes it this way more then the way it was. He has explored more today then he has since we have had him. Today was also his first shed!!! Which was pretty amazing. Any way here are some pics. What do you think? (Also one of him shedding!) :)

My baby Waldo. He is maybe 2months? Not really sure we got him a pet store. All I know is he is tiny! He gets the spots whenever he eats and when we hold him.:)

What type of Thermo/Hygrometers do you all use? I was looking at the Exo Terra Combination Thermo/Hygrometer. I have found good reviews on it, but then I have found bad reviews.

Is there a certain type of soil that is recommend? What types of smaller plants (small enought for my currant terrarium) are best for Chameleons? Does it matter what kind? Like are there only certain ones that are Cham safe?

Thanks everyone for there input. Just wondering want most people keep there humidity at mine drops no lower then 50% but I try to keep it at 70% as much as I can. And with the setup that I have do I need another light for basking? And is there a type a substrate that I can use that will be ok...
