Just trying to figure out the best misting cycle to use. I have a Monsoon Auto mister. Just trying to figure out how many times a day and for how long. Thanks

Also was wondering if anyone has ever used a substrate heater to help evaporate water at the bottom since its a glass terrarium. Exo terra sells some that are for rainforest terrariums so figured i would ask if anyone has tried this.

Hi I am not really sure what to tell you. Could you fill out the how to ask for help form? It will give a bit more information to give you advice from. I have no personal expeirence with the monsoon, I use a mistaking, but if you give me the info, I will see what I can do.

Along with what Laurie said, it is very important to know the age of your chameleon and also the size of the terrarium. Most exo-terras are way to small.

As far as the substrate heater, i would not use it. Also, if you have substrate, take it out as this could cause many problems to your cham. Its abreeding ground for bacteria and also the chameleon can ingest it and cause impaction.

I would get a drill but that can go through class and put a hole in the bottom and make a substrate bottom with those balls they use in terrariums and cover it with something like moss so that your cham can't shoot at the balls. Five nice long mists from 5-15 minutes.

If it is a super small terrarium then you might do slightly shorter misting times like 3-8 minutes...
