    Veiled female MBD, possible constipation

Thanks Jan, I was at work when she found her in the morning and called me repeatedly, panicking. Luckily her younger sister was here to tell her to take deep breaths and calm her down, and helped her get everything "cleaned up" and ready for the funeral. Since she didn't show any signs...

    Veiled female MBD, possible constipation

It is with an extremely sad heart that I am here to let everyone know that yesterday we lost Pascal. She had been doing well, was enjoying time outside in the nice days here, and chasing bugs, when we went to feed her the other day she didn't seem interested like usual, but was otherwise...

    Stinky crickets...

Thanks, yea, we order 1000 at a time. I did another clean tonight we'll see how long it lasts. Does anyone know if the dubia/cricket conversion is the same? Do you need to feed the same amount of Dubia as you do crickets?

    Stinky crickets...

We usually clean between batches and clean egg cartons as needed. I don't know how else to clean without letting loose tons of crickets in the process. They're smarter than they appear!

    Stinky crickets...

Our crickets STINK! Any suggestions? We keep them my daughters room with Pascal, and opening her door about knocks you out. We've tried cleaning the container, they're not over crowded... I've read people suggest to breed roaches instead for food, thoughts on this? We live in Nebraska and...

    Mist? Drip? Mess?! Substrate?

ealizard, so you just pump it up a couple times a day or how do you regulate it? We have a pump up sprayer that we use now to mist her and have a little drip bag for her water, I was hoping to find something more automatic so I know she's always taken care of especially since we have a couple...

    Mist? Drip? Mess?! Substrate?

That seems easy enough! I actually ordered a tray for her reptarium so we can use that to start with! I was also thinking about just at thin layer of rocks, but didn't know if that would make it harder for "hunting" and such, maybe she would like the challenge. What kind of misting/dripping...

    Mist? Drip? Mess?! Substrate?

Okay, it's been a while since I've been on, for everyone who's curious Pascal is doing awesome! We've been doing the hand misting several times a day and it's getting exhausting and it's extremely messy when we do it, lol. So I want to get a mister... are they less messy than hand misting...

    Never gravid female?

I'll get some new pics tomorrow when she's awake too. :D

    Never gravid female?

We have a smaller sand box in her cage. Not like trash can sized, smaller tote sized. She never bothers with it and actually seems to avoid it.

    Never gravid female?

Some of you may know Pascal's story... either way it's really not too important in this question. Pascal is appx 1 1/2 years old and has never showed signs of being gravid... no color changes, no pawing around the cage or acting restless ( if anything she's just plain lazy, lol), she sits in...

    Veiled female MBD, possible constipation

It has been a long while, life here has been crazy with the selling of a chinchilla herd (well about 160 animals, still have a dozen) major life changes, illnesses, and school... BUT I have not forgotten everyone here! So today Pascal enjoyed the warm mist of my shower and I decided everyone...

    Veiled female MBD, possible constipation

Awww thanks guys. Just doing what any good mom would do. I'm sure it's evident in the posts as well, but there were a lot of days that I wondered if keeping up with the treatments was even humane... to see her now I know it was worth it. :o

    Veiled female MBD, possible constipation

You know when you look back and you wish you had done something different. I wish I had done more documentation on our progess... but a couple nights again I did go through and find pictures of Pascal from our journey. Originally I wanted to do a side by side to see the difference because I...

I didn't mean for it to happen... need identification help

That's what she does, she climbs over to me while I'm watching her. When she gets on me she'll just sit there for a really long time like she's content. I'm just amazed at how friendly she is, taking Pascal out can be an act of congress sometimes! Hissing and holding, or the getting half on and...

I didn't mean for it to happen... need identification help

Yes, she is in isolation right now. Well actually shes on me... but iso from Pascal. I know that the theory is let them settle in, but she will turn from brown to green when she sees and and comes right over to me, once she is on me she turns greener. Today she was almost as green as Pascal when...

I didn't mean for it to happen... need identification help

I just read through this article that was linked in a previous post about sengals. http://www.chameleonnews.com/08FebFrancis.html I noticed at the petstore that the two kept close, and in here it says they are very social chams. Would it be wise to introduce her and Pascal after...
