    Hurricane is coming.

Here in south Louisana there is a strange calm at the moment.. it's 1:00 here. It's headed directly for us and there should be some massive winds tonight. I just boarded up the windows near my chammy's cage.

    Melleri snatching sphinx moth

Haha, really? That's funny. Yeah I don't know how most chameleons are, but if mine misses, he'll usually go after it again as soon as possible :D The reptarium is nice, it's very large for a cage and gets decent airflow.

    are we weird?

Yeah if you refer to weird as not compliant with standards of society, just about every one on this forum is weird. Haha. But the self sustenant egotistical nonsense is a silly boasting pretend superiority game.. In reference to sanity purposes and knowledge purposes, of course those are...

Adult and baby chameleons in group environment

I'm wondering about this too. So.. do they try to eat them because wild chameleons don't nurse their young and they grow up isolated.. so they are not familiar with babies of their species?

Adult and baby chameleons in group environment

Does any one have some documentation on how adult chameleons interact with baby chameleons? Perhaps, two random adults with a random captive hatch of babies in an environment? Or two parent chameleons and their own hatch growing up together? Note: I do not plan on trying this out. Just...

    Macaw info

I don't work with them much, so not explicitly, but from a few anecdotal observations I would say that they have a less severe "insanity factor" (the insanity factor is interesting but tedious to deal with, :D ) along with less energy, and their beaks are much weaker so that limits what they can...

My 2.5yr old twins enjoying their new Ball Python!

Yeah i kind of wish my parents would have showed me those things when I was little. For like 14-15 years of my life, until i learned on my own otherwise, I was taught that all snakes will constrict your throat and strangle you if you touch them and all spiders will inject fatal venom into you if...

    Macaw info

I've actually trained macaws and treated macaw health issues for years. I'm suprised to see a thread about them on this forum! Haha. I could write you a whole book about them but i'll try to make it practical for a forum post.. It varies upon species but most macaws, if they are in the...

    Melleri escape artist

Exactly! He's aware of every thing that goes on in the room. If there's some thing new some one put in my room he will usually be eyeballing it before I do. Haha.

Melleri escape artist While I was cleaning his terrarium, roaming between it and the kitchen, he decided to take an exploration out of his cage! Where does he decide to go? To scale my curtain and attempt to phase through the window :D

    Pondering a chameleon companion..

Okay, i might try that. One thing I am wondering since I have not experimented with heating bulbs before.. is if i want it 78-88 degrees average temperature, is a regular house hold bulb really going to supply that heat, or am I missing some thing?
