Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone in the midwest is interested in a proven Ambilobe pair? I would really prefer not to ship! I live in SE Minnesota...and I don't want to craigslist them (again...) because there just aren't a lot of chameleon people around here and I would love for them to go...
Awww, congrats!! Isn't it funny how it NEVER gets old? I just had my first hatchlings arrive a little over a week ago, and it's the best thing ever!! Can't wait for many, many more!!
That's what I thought too! So...hopefully we're right, because that would mean that I THINK I have somewhere around 14 males and 11 females...and one more egg cooking away! :) Thanks for the replies!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to post a few pictures of my babies to see if some of the experts would like to share their opinion on their sex. I have an idea of what I think these two are, so if I am right, than hopefully that means that I can sex all 25 of them!
Here's the first one...
I'd say male...the females usually don't have so much yellow and barring like that...but the casque does look relatively short and you can't see the spurs...so it's possible that it is female, i suppose!
Sad...that looks all too familiar to me since I used to work there. BUT, we always did our best to give them proper enclosures with what we had...that is, what corporate would allow
That's where my veiled came from, too...i saved him ;)
Mine does that, too! He was pure yellow background with red bars when I got him, (see avatar) and he has slowly started showing blue bars on a green background...crazy! Here are some pics:
and here he is just moments ago...what a transformation! He still fires up like the first...
Just got some pinheads from Josh's Frogs on Friday! They were very much alive and well upon arrival and I have not noticed any dying off....and my hatchling panthers love them!! :)
Hey everyone!! Just thought I'd share my extreme excitement with you all--my first chameleon baby has hatched! 8.5 months of waiting, and its all worth it now! More eggs are sweating, hopefully there will be siblings soon!! :)
Well I found this when I got home around 10 last night...and it's still just hanging around in that egg. How much patience does one person NEED to breed chameleons?? :) Im learning that it's a lot! How long do they usually sit in the egg before they come out?
Hey everyone! I have some panther chameleon eggs cookin' away and they are at the 8.5 month mark and showing signs of hatching. I am only concerned because my previous clutch was not successful at hatching. The first clutch started showing signs of hatching right before the 8 month mark--the...
Its just so sad! He's still alive this morning, and responds when I touch him with a Q-tip, but otherwise is acting the same. I am noticing that his eyes are starting to look more sunken in...probably due to dehydration. Should I try to get some water in his mouth?
Hey everyone,
So on Wednesday night I noticed that one of my eggs from a clutch that was layed on 6/26/09 was starting to hatch. The hatchling took until last night to finally come all the way out of the shell, which I understand is completely normal. However, I found him when I got home...
