took him to the vet today, they cleaned his mouth out and gave him a shot of antibiotics...will go back for 3 more shots, every three days...hopefully it will kill the infection and he will start eating again..if not the vet will give him liquid food.
he's sleeping now, don't want to stress him, will take a picture in the morning,
he is still eating, and i notice him sometimes rubbing that side of his face against the branch.
has anyone had their chamelion's mouth injured from a cricket? don't think i can open his mouth to look. The back edge of it looks soar and he is not opening his eye on that side. I did get to look inside when he opened his mouth, looked very red. thought about trying to get povidone iodine...
my jackson's was the same way, because of his reaction to me, i don't handle him, but he is fine with me now feeding him and cleaning his cage, when i need to move him, i move the entire plant he is on, but he doesn't lunge or hiss at me anymore. maybe yours just needs to get used to you

my chamelion has been staying on the bottom of the cage for a couple days now, he wont open one of his eyes, i think that's why he's not climbing, he can't see on one side. is there anything i can do before taking to a vet?
