    Baby with broken arms

I hate to say it, but, seriously? casts on a hatchling? If you can pull that off and it survives then WOW.

    dubia -new to me-

I only cull of the adult winged ones. I find if they get to populated in the colony they fight each other (I dont have documented proof of this) also when the population of males is too high I find they try to escape. That and my reptiles dont seem to like the males as much and they are not a...

    dubia -new to me-

anyone else have dubias leaving some wet spot in your hand when carrying them? Thats what I like least... that and the males, they are SO frenzied. I hate it when it comes time to cull the males out to the freezer! I tried feeding them to my beardies and they got diarrhea. Too much fiber I...

    jackson breeding

My clutch is just a few days over 2 months and still very small. Too delicate imo to sell. They are hitting a noticeable growth spurt though. They really did not seem to grow much in the first month. IMO it would be best to wait until they are 3 months before selling them and DEFINITELY if there...

Computer repair in Topeka KS area

I don't know if this falls under miscellaneous or not and if I am out of line I apologize and understand if its deleted. My family and I moved to the Topeka area this summer and decided that while my wife would work I would become a stay-at-home dad and try to run a computer repair business...

    heres a thought

My thought, and not an expert thought, would be that fewer larger ones would have more meat to shell ratio and therefore less chitin over all.

Hello, I have a small project I am working on that I need help with. Its a 6'x4'x18" wardrobe that I am turning into a chameleon cage. I have side panels cut out of the front that need sanded flush and plumb around the edges, a door that needs a relief cutting out the middle leaving about 2 and...

if not free roaming a Mellers... what size cage?

I was and still am in the process of converting a 6' high by 4' wide by 18" deep wardrobe into a cage. I was considering a Mellers to fill it but cant free range as I dont trust my dogs entirely. I will think of something else, probably an ambilobe or sambava.

Question on retained sperm and a new clutch!!

the only thing i could find earlier this year in pearlite was that miracle grow stuff. It was winter and NOBODY had vermiculite. I didn't use it. I opted instead for coconut fiber mixed with sand (I find coconut fiber on its own dries out very quickly!). Same concept though. Squeeze the heck out...

Any reports on Montane species? Thinking about my Jackson's pair and babies here.

    Water crystals

This is a good question. I have had no problems with giving crickets about 1/8 inch and slightly smaller water crystals I have not tried with pinheads. I mix one ounce with 3/4 gallon water so its not too sloppy wet (normal is 1 once with one gallon water). The last couple times I tried to breed...

    New born cham wont eat

I think we are missing some crucial information (unless I missed it) What species of Chameleon? Thats going to help narrow down temps and caging issues. What size cage and what size feeders? When you say newborn what do you mean exactly? 2 days old? 1 month? 3 months?

multiple clutches from one mating in Jackson's

I understand that Jackson's can have multiple clutches (is that the right word even though its ovoviparous?). My question is how common is this and, if it happens, is the gestation time shorter then the first clutch? In other words, while embryos are forming and about to be laid are there other...

Got babies? OMG I do! :D with pics!

Just to let everyone know. I have thought it over and I will not be shipping any babies right now. They are doing great in a constant environment but I think they are still too fragile for shipping. They are 7 weeks old today I believe. I will consider again in a little over a month. Local pick...
