Well i am Glad to hear he made it to you. Me when I order Reptiles now I will only order through someone who ships UPS Atleast during the winter months. UPS Always has my package there by 10:30. Fed Ex i would get my package one time 9:00 the next time 4:00. Well good luck with the baby.:D
Just got .my female amabja panther today from Jim at the chameleon company. I live in michigan and when she arrived it was around 25 degrees. She was in great shape. He guarantee the chameleon even when the lows are in the teens. As long as it is package right and there is no delays it should be...
Not for sure which one but one of these
1 female Amabaja
trio of pymgy
Pair of Sailfins(Montium)
I am kind or leaning Towards The Female Panther but if i can find the Montiums for the right price I will jump at them.:D
I have made a cage years back with 1/4 caging works ok. I used plastic critter cage to feed him to keep the crickets in somewhat. I perfer mesh just because i feed my chameleon flies.
I sure do. Petr Necas book Chameleons Nature's hidden jewels pg175 "These Chameleons like to eat large grasshoppers, but can eat almost all common insects(flies, ants, etc), smaller chameleons (perhaps even young ch melleri), young mammals(baby mice) and even small birds."
Mellers do eat small mammals and small birds in the wild. I would use it as a treat but I would go with something the size of a pickie mouse. once a month or maybe twice should not hurt.
I am sure alot of people has had their Chameleons take a drop. Its funny how those little buggers will take a leap or just walk of the end of you hand with nothing there to grab.:)
oh and also you will have to either buy a tray or make something for the bottom of it. The bottom is just screen so to keep the water off your floor from misting you will need tray of some sort.
My experence with them is that the top will start to discolor after a while due to the heat. And remeber they are plastic tubing and they could break or crack. I did have one of the tubes crack on me.
I was working on the top of the cage on putting in my drip system and had the light up out of my way. Thanks for you imput but once again I am not new at this thank you.
