Hello All! As a fellow reptile keeper I am very saddened by the picture a friend sent me today. Apparently while mowing their field, they accidentally ran over this lizard. With it being such a large species, I am not aware of anything that is native of that size in the area. I was hoping...
she is moving around, alert right now yes....when i got home she was digging with her eyes closed. she was behind the waterfall so i pulled her tail, picked her up and put her up high. she then "woke" up. just checked on her and now is on the bottom of the cage, not doing much but yes alert.
yes she does look really blodded a times. but you can nly tell when she doesnt know your watching her....so i guess when she is relaxed. but when she knows your there or are watching her she sucks in...lol
yes, at what point do we need to take her to the vet? Should i try feeding her everyday? saturday we tried horned worms...no luck then superworms...not interested...sunday crickets...again no luck. So she had three different options of food..none of them appealed to her. She does seem to go to...
psi-(spade chameleons)...sounds very simular to our chameleon. If she does want to lay or she was not correctly spayed..what all do i need to do to help her lay or feel comfortable? And how do you give her calcium if she wont eat?
this is matts wife just so you know. And thats how we bought her...she is over a year old but we bought her spayed. If you dont eventually spay them, their eggs will get impacted and have calcium defitency(dont know how to spell that). So why else do you think she would be digging?
My chameleon is digging. its been over a week now. Has not ate either. She is spayed so we dont understand the digging. she gets in a mode where her eyes are closes while she is digging, at that point you can hold her and do practically whatever you want to her until she basically snaps out of...
Good advice, do you know where I could find a full list of wild bugs I can feed her? she like grasshoppers and dragonflies but I would like to get some cooler bugs. Been looking for some matis and stick bugs but they are hard to find.
I read that before i posted it here but I was just thinking that Chameleons can eat Preying mantis and they are a pretty strong bug also beetles with mandibles. What do you think?
Does anyone have experience with this bug? Wondering if it is safe to feed to my Veiled. She likes to have some random bugs from the woods and these things are everywhere.
**Update on my lizard**
Ok, I found out through the grape vine, the full history of my lizard. She became Egg Bound and as a result developed MBD and started eating pebbles because of calcium deficiency. She was rushed to surgery where she had the eggs removed and rocks from her stomach and...
My poor girl. I am going to try to find a doctor but we are kinda in the middle of nowhere! Will increase her calcium intake and hopefully she will get better. She seems to be more active now that I have the mist king in there. Lime, Where do i get Cricket Crack and this D3 supplement. Links...
