Well I got my hand on two bay rat snakes, being in Ttexas it wasn't too hard:DI have them in a 55 gallon tank with branches and tree moss. They do have a water dish ,but I would like to know what they can start eating? They can't be fatter than a pencil about 12 inches long.I'll try to get some...
Well I caught a Black Indigo about four days ago,at a ranch. Its a really nice snake, its about 5 and a half maybe 6 feet long. But,it looks like it has recently been shot:(but did not go straight through, just along the muscle on the side.Just wondering if they are dosile creatures cause this guy...
Well I got up this morning and my little panther chameleon Kinky was laying on the ground motionless.I guess she had not been eating well so I guess fatigue got to her.I had her for about ten months and she was cool but sad to say she took her last breath last night.
Sorry to post a Q on this forum about this type of lizard, but can't find a better forum on lizards. So,this question is is for someone who owned or knows about these little guys.I'm getting one baby from a local breeder and I know pretty much all I need.I was wondering if a fogger or waterfall...
I have not had a problem in the past keeping the cage at the right temp, but recently I had my window unit break down, and had to replace it with a smaller unit. Now the cage stays around 85 without the basking lamp on.I tried a 25 watt bulb, but even with that the temp gets up to 110.So,will she be...
Ok so I got on the computer as soon as I seen this. She was sitting on a branch where I could see her very clearly. So,when she moved her eye,it moved in and out.this is very weird, but I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and do you think there is something wrong?PLEASE let me know what...
So today I bought a new schefflera plant for my cage to replace a dying ficus. The plant is good side to side of the cage but,its about a foot short from the top.My question is,will she climb up to the basking spot or will I need vines leading there?
I made a misting system awhile back,it helps tons! But,now I'm am having to switch out the nozzles every so often. So,does anyone know where I can buy them in bulk,or maybe a way to clean them so I don't just throw them away?It seems to be a standard nozzle.
I just got a hibiscus from a freind, but it is too big for my cage. Will it root out is I cut off one limb? Also,it is a "Sun Shower"is this safe to use in my enclosure?
I have had my cham for four months now,but she has never had a good diet.I have tried three types of worms and moths but she has not taken to them at all,I tried free ranging and cup with the worms. The only thing she eats is crickets, and even then I get her to eat more than two a day. Will she be...
So,how do your chams take to moths?I had some hatch today out from my silkworm bin. This is the first time I introduced them to her,and she just looked at it like what the hell.Is it something she would need to get used to?
So,I was just looking at my favorite T-shirt site.Just for the hell of it I typed in chameleon, and found some shirts, buttons and what not chameleon related. So thought I would just share!!!!!

So,I've been wondering for awhile now.I've been feeding "Kinky" everyday for awhile.I have heard they eat better if you feed them every other day.I have a varied diet but she loves crickets! So,is it really better to wait a day in between feedings or continue as I doing?
BTW:today she ate the...
So I've noticed in my silkie container that there are many little things that look like spider egg sacks. Is that what this is?If so how many should I expect per sack and how would I care for them?
I just bought some mealworms the other day,and was wondering what is the best way to give them to my cham?I've tried silkies in a cup and on a branch but she did not take to them at all:(.
So a couple of weeks ago,I posted a thread about her not eating well and her right eye was shut, aswell many people on the forums speculated she may be carrying eggs. So,just got back from the vets. She was looked over well, found no eggs,he also looked at her eye.He just wiped it down and all it...
there is not many times I tey to take her out ,but it was time to clean her cage. So,she flaired up and fwisted on a branch. This is my first cham, and thought was funny.I guess it happens time to time and hope its is funny to you all too.
So its been about a week since I've seen her eat,and I've tried many methods of feeding that used to work, such as free range, cup feed and even a half gallon with screen sides feeder thing.Just now I found her sleeping with her head resting on the top of the half gallon feeder, which scared me...
Well I've noticed that she is not eating like she used to,she used to run straight to her cup.She is rather same (4 to 5 inches without tail)and she is around 5 months old.I've been changing up her feeders from:crickets to supers and even silkies.I was feeding her everyday and read somewhere...
Ok so yesterday I tried for the first time to take my little girl out of her cage, and she freaked, opened mouth fired up and eventually ran away.I've seen the videos on how to take a cham out.So what is the best way to get her used to the idea of climbing onto my hand so that i can do a deep...
