Cicadas can be pretty big, and their exoskeleton is super hard. I caught a couple for my insect collection. Just compare the size of the cicada to the distance between your cham's eyes before trying to feed it, dont want to hurt your cham. They are really loud too :P

We are going to need a picture of the base of the tail to have a better chance of sexing that little guy. As said above colour isnt a really good indication of sex as I have seen some really colourful females, take a look at this female from Lance...

Not exactly a necessity but picking up some dubia roaches wouldnt hurt. You can just let them breed for a while to get a strong colony going and then start feeding them off. It would save you alot of money on crickets :)

As long as it was collected from a pesticide free zone it is ok, you might consider taking off the back legs if they are spiny just so there is no chance of them hurting your cham

To me it looks to be younger than 2 months. Cant really see the base of the tail very well in this pic. Could you get another one that shows the base of the tail from the side?

He just needs to settle in, your cham will get used to you as time goes on. Its only been a week, be patient he will come around.

it could be anything :P pic is too blurry to make anything out. Could be one of those small millipedes you find in dirt all the time, or a small centipede as said before

Yeah i would definetly recommend drilling a starter hole in the acrylic, it will definetly crack if you just start putting the screw in. How thick are the dowels you are using?

try to get some flightless hydei fruit flies, they are the larger kind, my 2 month old ate those when i first got her
