    Winter Funk or Concern?

@MissSkittles her lamp died the other day, and I think it was reaching about 79 F, and the same day I got a new one and it’s reaching 80 F. should I go higher for winter? I try to keep her clutch size down

Night time humidity - Central FL

Hi all, My family will likely be getting a Panther Chameleon in a few weeks. As I'm getting things set up, I have read that you want to have nighttime RH to be between 80 and 100%. To help facilitate this, the latest and greatest is fogging in the early morning with the caveat that the temps be...

Puzzled Vet Student - Tongue Issues?

Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Veiled, Male, adopted at around 4 months old in November 2025. He’s 10 months now. I adopted him with NSHP (MBD). I am a 3rd year vet student and already had bloodwork done in December and his ionized calcium was normal after 1 month in my care. Handling -...

    Veiled Chameleon colors

I would say my “Blue” cham that I got from FL chams is genetically inferior to the other 3 males from another bloodlines. He is smaller and his bone structure is different in the lower extremities. Thankfully he is healthy but he is built different.

    Clarification on recommended UVI

Another thing to consider. In South FL, where wild chams are populating; the lowest UVI seen at ground level on average is around 4 in January and as hi as 12 in June. So again, something doesn't seem to add up to me.

    Veiled Chameleon colors

Places like Fl Chams claim to have “premium” veileds, but imho there really aren’t any premium lines. I recall someone a few years back was disappointed when they ordered a tangerine premium cham from them and it didn’t have any spectacular colors. All veileds are gorgeous in their own right...

Good Veiled Chameleon breeders in FL?

As a former FL chams customer I would mention they don’t ship within the state so the name is a little deceptive. When I purchased my back in 2019 he was shipped from PA I think…also, it being winter time I would only purchase through a VERY reputable breeder.

Good Veiled Chameleon breeders in FL?

...regular are wild caught and I’d strongly advise to avoid those. It would definitely be worth waiting for Frams Chams to have some babies available. Avoid FL chams, underground and backwater reptiles and while LLL reptile is great for supplies, I’d be quite reluctant to buy a chameleon from them.

    Moving from NY to FL

Hi! So in about 6 weeks I will be making the move from NY to Florida. I have a 2 year old veiled chameleon and we will be driving so it will take us at least 2 days to get to our house. I am looking for suggestions on the best, most comfortable way to move my Cham. Any suggestions and...

Husbandry Review for first time owner

...as you can, the 18x18x24 is really small for a cham his age. I would say he is about 4 months. I would get him a fecal test. I heard that FL chams seem to have parasites more often. He seems a bit skinny on my screen, could you post another picture of him when you get the chance...

    Veiled Chameleon colors

I remember years ago I was going to order from them. Then I decided I wasn’t ready for a chameleon. Now I hear they are not so great. I just saw an old post on Facebook regarding of receiving a young panther chameleon with an hole on their body.

    Starting a baby Veiled outside?

My experience is a little unconventional, I have 3 male veiled chams housed outside in FL. They all started in their outdoor enclosures at around 3 months. I do have them in a pool enclosure and fenced in back yard. If I didn’t have the double security in place I would not have them outdoors...

    Good online veiled breeders?

Reputable veiled breeders are hard to come by, besides who elizaann said, I don’t know of many more. Not recommending fl chams, lllreptile or underground reptiles. You could end up with a wild caught and they are no guarantee. You could check out morph market but be sure to read the listings...

    Meet Bjorn

I got this beautiful little guy about 3 months ago from FL Chams, I have had no problems with him. Three days ago I added a dracaena plant to the enclosure I built him, and now he spends basically all of his day climbing that plant, I haven’t even seen him bask since. Is this an issue, or is he...

FL Chams - Does anyone know how to contact them?

...40 years, and I started getting Veiled's 6 years ago. All the others died (misinformed husbandry/bad vets), but I got some beauties from FL Chams two years ago. I ordered them overnight, and I stayed home from work as they arrived the next day. They are very healthy and active. The first...

    How much should he eat?

I order most of my bugs from dubia.com. I know in FL you cant have dubia roaches but you can also get wax worms (treats), super worms (treats) and bsfl on there too. I get my crickets from Josh's Frogs and you can order silk worms from costal silks or Frams Chams.

How old and what gender is my guy???

my chameleon was guessed to be around 3 months at purchase gender is most likely female from what I’ve figured here. I was told they were male at purchase. I’ve had her for around 3 months so 6 months is assumed though I got her from a pet store. I try to avoid handling if I do handle it’s...

    Humidity and gaping

I live in FL and keep my house around 80 and I don’t use a basking light. Humidity is typically in the 40s. I just use the plant light and uv lamp. Those generate enough heat during the summer. My chams outside are expose to nearly 100% humidity and only gap to cool when ambient temps are...
