Totally understand your point. Currently I really only have plans for one, coming from a reputable breeder, instead of LLLReptile, which is where the one in question is located, but if I did end up with more than one I'd certainly take the necessary precautions.

I have no panthers currently, but I have been setting up some enclosures in preparation, but I understand your point and concern.

Thanks for your help everyone! I've decided to purchase a chameleon from an awesome breeder, but there's a good chance my wife gets this one too, I'm not complaining about getting both.

I think I see a bulge in the tail, based on size I believe the chameleon is 3-4 months old, but I'm having a hard time telling. They had another one that was the same age/size listed as female and the tail definitely looked skinnier with no bulge.

Saw this ambilobe at a local reptile store, they say its male, but it looks female to me, but its been a few years since I've had panther chameleons. My wife wants to get it, but I want a male. Thanks.

I bought some bird feeds cups and glued some mesh in them. Works well for me.

The plant is considered safe, but should not be consumed. If your veiled likes to eat plants it can be harmful if ingested in large quantities.

I keep her basking spot at about 81, I haven't cut back food because she's still growin.

My 6 month old female panther looks rather fat lately, seems a little young to start producing eggs though.

I haven't tried LEDs, but I have tried a wide variety of things with trying to keep hibiscus alive in an enclosure and it hasn't been successful for me. I have just given up on hibiscus altogether to be honest.

From my experience hibiscus will not thrive in an enclosure, I have a t5ho 6500k bulb on one of mine and I can't keep hibiscus alive in it, and I feel like if I added anymore lighting the cage would be way too bright to be comfortable for the cham.

Umbrella plants are very hardy, but not great for chams that eat a lot of plant matter. With hibiscus its very difficult to keep them alive in an enclosure, one option is to have a few of them, keep some outside, and rotate them between the enclosure and outdoors.

There is a member on here that has a panther that was hatched from an egg from that seller, I can't remember whow though.
