    Bad news

He is still the same. I considered driving him to the vet in the city but it’s nearly a 2 hour drive and I was worried that the stress of transport would only make the situation worse. He hated car rides. He has lost all interest in water and is no longer squeezing my finger when I offer it to...

Chameleon bruising on eye and feet

My chameleon Koko is about 2 months old, I got her an almost two weeks ago and I noticed the bruising a day or two after I got her, she first bruised on the feet and a little on her arm. When I bought her, the people struggled to get her into the little transportation box and I am pretty sure...

    Odd bump on leg?

Yeah so the decline of use of the back half of the body is concerning. I would get him into the vet and see what happens. They are so dang fragile even when we do everything right. Fingers crossed for you. It will be important to know what they removed though... For the simple fact if it is...

    Transporting Long Distance

Thank you so much! I will do all I can for this guy. If we are going to take the responsibility of caring for them, then vet care should be minimum. Even if it means a long drive. Hopefully it won’t be a long wait for him to be seen 🤞 I still have some changes that I need to make with his...

    Transporting Long Distance

I line a shoe box with towels and poke holes in the top. Then I put in a thoroughly cleaned stick. I put him in and close the top so it’s dark and he’ll relax/sleep most of the trip. Hope that helps!

    URI Medication?

Just as a little update - I found a vet close by and brought him. He hadn't been improving or getting worse, so I wanted to get him checked. We got him on an anti inflammatory and antibiotic injections. I forgot to get a fecal done, and of course he pooped in his transport bin on the way there...

    Odd bump on leg?

I have not seen anything like this. I have seen where the tail or limb will turn almost black after a needle but he is showing a white discoloration. And that I believe is the opposite leg from the surgery. He is definitely showing signs of a major decline. Looking at the eyes specifically. Who...

And I got the vet visit for free beacause of that! And the cham I'm rehabbing was there but I didn't see it and there was no contact...

    Odd bump on leg?

I have to wonder if that released cells too and an infection spread. There was a little bit of blood aroudn the "nugget" they removed. His back half is definitely weaker than his front half. His legs DO grip (I picked him up and he held on, and with some coaxing walked a bit on my fingers to...

She has eggs and refuses to lay them

You said…”I added so photos of her today, they didn’t do blood work. I’m just going by what another member said about her having MBD by looking at her arms”…I’m not a vet…I just speak from experience and what I’ve learned in over 30 years of keeping reptiles….her right arm looks swollen in a...

Help! Peach fuzzs eye looks wierd!

That's fine. IDK if the plant is needed; when the box is closed up, your cham should just fall asleep. I think I'd at least secure the plant so it doesn't tip or spill during the trip.
