Hello everyone, Stumbled into a chameleon not to long ago and have limited time to get a bigger set up going for him. Hopefully I’ll be ordering a Tamura set up near the end of the month and get him settled into something bigger. Have most of what I need but the timers are where I’m hyper...

    Should I get a fogger?

Hey guys! I've been having a really hard time trying to keep Ankle's humidity at a steady 80% in the night time. I live in Florida, and researched endlessly that, as a Floridian, a fogger is most definitely not necessary because of our high humidity. I will say, however, that my house is...

    Fogging

hi. I’m a new Chameleon mom and have been trying to learn all I can. I’ve searched this forum and have found some very helpful information. I’ve also used chameleon academy, chameleon info and Neptune. I’m not very tech savvy and this is my first post. I did a call with Neptune the chameleon...

Potential RSHP in male panther chameleon - immediate help requested

Cage Info: Cage Type - 2 x 2 x 40in partial glass and screen enclosure. There is a glass front and back (I struggle to keep in humidity - I live in a very dry place) with screen sides and top. What I suggest trying is covering the screened sides, but make sure to leave about 4” or so uncovered...

    Need help lower humidity-daytime

We’re using a digital one, and the dehumidifier is elevated on the outside of his enclosure, I mist every night 30 minutes after lights off. I was misting in the morning but it seemed to keep the humidity high, since then I only mist at night. Fogger at night and in the morning about 5 minutes...

    New chameleon parent

Just in case this isn't an earlier photo, you don't want to run the fogger while the daytime lights are on. We want the enclosures to be able to dry out in the day, this is why you might spray before lights come on, or 40 minutes after lights go on (never spray near the lights!) An enclosure...

    Enclosure suggestion's/review

Hi everyone! I don’t get my panther chameleon until mid-March. I bought the basic kit by Neptune and added a different mister and fogger. (My husband is making a stand so the crate it’s sitting on is just temporary) Plants- Monstera deliciosa, adansonii, nerve plant, heart leaf philodendron...

    Temperature/Humidity

Hey there welcome to the forum. You will want to move the cage away from the window. baby is going towards the light from the window thinking it is getting what it needs instead of basking under the UVB lighting. It will run the risk of developing MBD if this continues. Also ambient temps...

    New chameleon keeper (husbandry check)!!

I read up about it and people are saying it’s because of the high humidity and lack of air flow and they are putting small fans on top of the enclosure to circulate the air flow as well as cleaning their fogger weekly. I do already have a fan but it is pretty big and won’t fit on top of the...

Pics of my new Atasuki 48x19x48” tank!

This thing looks huge and has to weigh a couple hundred pounds. I had to have my two son in laws help. I think I have it fairly ready and hoping the plants grow fast so he has hiding places. Most of the plants are from my collection here so fingers crossed. I put a 3” leca clay balls on the...

Fogger that can be put on a timer?

I use Kasa WiFi smart plugs to set schedules/timers, they’re cheap on Amazon and work really well! My son’s frog vivarium has a fogger set up that way for nighttime humidity and it’s never had issues :)

    Beginner questions

One thing I would HIGHLY suggest you use are these (or similar) outlet timers. These allow you to have everything plugged in (your lights, misting system, fogger if you use one, to be automatically set to turn on and off when you want. This way you're not manually doing everything every day...

Even him sitting thereat the window I think he is still getting the uv light as he is underneath it about 10 inches below. Do you still beleive i should move it away from window? It being...

    Beginner questions

Thank you sir! So you use the t5 plus a basking lamp for the lights, and heat source? Have you had any feeder stations or has your chameleon stuck with just hunting on his own: Fortunately he did eat the big horn worm on Saturday, so it’s possible that filled him up for a bit. But I would...
