Need help lower humidity-daytime

Hi! I’m having a little bit of a hard time getting Rangos enclosure humidity lower for the day. I have a dehumidifier beside his enclosure, it is a reptibreeze xl, all live plants, no bottom substrate (liner on bottom/changed when wet)

His humidity at night is perfect, but the daytime I can’t seem to get it under 65%
I was thinking of getting a second dehumidifier and putting it on the other side of the enclosure. Would that help? Or any other ideas?

I do live in a basement, but his temperature is always at the recommended temperature.

What are you measuring humidity with? You might want to get a different style of hygrometer to double check. How big is the area that the dehumidifier is in? How often are you misting? Are you dripping or anything? If so, when?

We’re using a digital one, and the dehumidifier is elevated on the outside of his enclosure, I mist every night 30 minutes after lights off. I was misting in the morning but it seemed to keep the humidity high, since then I only mist at night. Fogger at night and in the morning about 5 minutes. Dripper is set up and drips on the morning, I turn it off for the rest of the day, giving him one other opportunity for hydration in the afternoon

You need to measure the square footage of your basement and then get a dehumidifier that can handle that square footage. It’s length x width and that’s the sq ft. I also have my enclosure in a basement and it’s no problem. I mist before lights go on and after lights go off and have a ton of pothos for drinking opportunities. No fogger, no dripper. I feed silk worms every other day because they’re like little water bags. Anytime I give a horn worm my chams have the runs, so I just stopped doing hornworms. They’re gross. Dehumidifiers are so expensive but get a good one and you’re good for a long time. Also make sure you dump the basin and let it fully dry from time to time to avoid mold. I give my basin a bleach spray and rinse once in a while. Best of luck to you
