    Need help convincing my parents

...So we’re moving ( so I’m not getting one atm also shipping is risky)but eventually, (sometime in the next seven years FYI ?) I want a bearded Pygmy chameleon and my mom says MAYBE. But for all other chameleons she says no. How do I get my parents to let me get a bearded Pygmy chameleon and if...

    One would think

Good choice! I keep most of my stuff outdoors and just make sure all cages are locked up tight. I have noticed some opossum teeth marks once in a while but never major damage. I did have a small breeding group of bearded pygmies live on some Ice plants and they were never messed with. I kept...

    Pygmys on the mind

So- my knowledge was very limited with both types. I had single Brookesia supericiliaris (I would find out later) as pet (male). He lived about 1 year back in 1995 or so. My got o people were CIN people (via phone) and their booklets. I fed strictly on baby spiders (collected weekly at school...

    My veild chameleon laid eggs

...Great job! MOLD! ----I did have mold start creeping to good eggs, but was able to clean off before any damage was done. Good reason to keep them apart too. Thanks for video- you should have done it 20 years ago with my Bearded pygmy eggs--- They all hatched but the lesson would have been...

Show them how much you want one by maybe making an essay on them! I've made two 8 page essays and I'm getting one in a few months!

Brookesia therezieni over review? 3rd post of the day sorry! Want to make sure I’m on the right track.

Thank you for the info. Luckily the source I bought from has 5 or so Brookesia sp listed all with correct species pictures from the latest batch. However due to the extreme similarities between a couple of species I’m prepared to post an ID post first thing. I’m not a serious breeder therefore...

Keep in mind... You seem to be a more responsible young lady of 12. I am not saying you should not experience another species but keep it to something like a Panther where the care requirements are widely available to you. These have very similar care to a Veiled so it would not be a lot to...

...hatch more separately and IMHO that's not a bad thing. You said..."Thanks for video- you should have done it 20 years ago with my Bearded pygmy eggs--- They all hatched but the lesson would have been great."...there's always something we wished we'd known sooner! @Jairo1234 sorry for...

Brookesia therezieni over review? 3rd post of the day sorry! Want to make sure I’m on the right track.

First- be VERY prepared to not get the correct species. This species is commonly mislabeled and I’d be very surprised if you got exactly what you order. Second- since this species is not bred commonly in captivity, I’d suggest not having 2 males in the same enclosure. This will make it...

    No Dusting? All Gutload?

These guys are on my list to find. Not sure of any breeders currently working with them, but I'd love to get a colony of them going and some seperate enclosures to pull the males every so often so the females are not over bred.

    Pygmy Chameleon babies

Their website is messed up. It has said that they have bearded pygmies available for months (if not years), but if you go to put them in your cart they are unavailable. I have not seen bearded pygmies available online in years. Usually you only see Brookesia species available from imports and...

What happened to all the bearded pygmy chameleons?

Title is pretty self-explanatory. When I got into the hobby about a decade ago, I swear I saw bearded pygmies (specifically R. brevicaudatus - not the Brookesia species) all over the place. My local herp shop sold tons of CB pygmies back in the day, but I haven't seen any in years! Same goes...
