    Ficus pumila: Any Concerns?

I am in the early stages of planning an enclosure remodel for my two year old panther chameleon, for both practical and aesthetic reasons. I have some creeping fig (Ficus pumila) left over from another project, and I think it would look good climbing up the vivarium backdrop. From my cursory...

    Background color for screen cage

I've seen videos of Chams trying to climb on foiledge on realistic backdrops before, maybe he's just looking for limbs to climb

    Madagascar Biome Project

I've already decided that my next setup, which will be twice as large and for a more social type of chameleon (one where I can have two or three roaming around). Will have a ton of Nepenthes throughout it and far more bromeliads and pothos plants. I'd love to have a foam background too, that...

With this budget, what setup would you get

You’re going to want roaches, besides silkworms, the’re the healthiest option, and there’s so many to choose from

With this budget, what setup would you get

Thanks - I know this is a long thread with lots of detours, but I've already decided on the DS clearside atrium (Bigger is better with a male panther!) & already have a solarmeter and temp gun. I use digital hygrometers/thermometers with my reptiles already & will buy a 2 pack for the chameleon...

    Taking liberties with a Reptibreeze

Looking good! Using the foam backdrop to mount the most heads is another good idea. If I may make a couple (hopefully constructive) comments... The branch uniformity is a bit distracting. Maybe shake their layout up a bit instead of keeping them straight horizontally and in a vertical line...

    Photographing Chameleon's in "Naturalistic" Settings

If you want a place in the Forum Calendar or a shiny medal next to your avatar there are some basic things you will have to do. First understand what the contest is looking for pictures that will ultimately go into the calendar. Nobody wants to be distracted by your fingernails, dirty or...

With this budget, what setup would you get

What bedding are you using for the supers? I've been using this for a while now https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/manna-pro-select-series-sho-formula-rabbit-food-50-lb. Cheap, nutritious and lasts a long time. With my worm counts it's hard to know if I've grabbed one that's eaten their...

    Finally finished my first enclosure!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes definitely more vines. The dimensions are 36"wide 18"deep and 36" tall. Yes everything even the stones down to the Mayan style backdrop was hand made and painted. It took some time but I think it was definitely worth it!

    Donnie's Free range

Edit: Just realized you mentioned shower curtains in your original post! Everything you have done looks great except for one thing, the black plastic backdrop. Not trying to be a dick but I think you already know that. You obviously enjoy and care about your cham so why sell yourself and cham...

waterproofing the inside of you terrarium

I used Great Stuff "Pond and Stone" on mine that I'm building. it is safe for fish and obviously would be fine being submerged in water perminately. There are pictures in my albums if you want to make your own natural backdrop versus putting up a picture. Let me know if it intrests you and I...

You can kind of see in the center of the backdrop towards the top where there is a hole with wire mesh (behind the small, top center branch), I plan to have a hose run from a humidifier so that the fog will pour out of the background too.

    Need critique and advice desperately!

That was my baby that passed last night. They had separate cages, they were next to each other but I had a backdrop between them. I got them together so I set their homes up pretty much identically. I'm still so heartbroken. I have an appointment at 11 to have her looked at, but I'm pretty...

    Finally got Zelda and Link!

My new beardies are home (finally got a pair after my old boy passed on some years ago). *see images before reading below this* Funny enough I hate cliche nerd names but the moment I held her Zelda it was. A nice coincidence because her Z I got in this last summer randomly for my desk at a...
