I hope you are feeling better now. I have another batch of eggs hatching and they have been dried for a month and still babies are coming out. So don’t despair, when it’s their time to hatch, they will. Might not be as much as we are expecting but they will (might).

if there are no hatchlings yet, you can still move it. The only reason you have to separate the lay bin when hatching the eggs is so that the adults will not harm/eat the baby hoppers. These are based on the papers Motherlode Chameleon wrote. I just follow most of guides in breeding grasshoppers.

You should separate the bins with eggs from the adults.

The reason I use a heater is to maintain a 75-80 F temp. My hoppers are in the garage.

It is Arcadia, so I supposed it is good for a year.

The UVB is shy from 6 months, maybe it is due to fluctuating temperature in our house, specially the nights.

I totally abandoned taking care of the laying bins because I thought none will ever hatch, but left the heat going on. I was surprised when I saw those cute hatchlings, as of earlier I have maybe 15. They are cute even when they grow big and looks like a giant creature from outer space.

I have an umbrella plant for about two or so months now. Base on what I have read, they don’t like too much water. I don’t mist the much since my fogger is the main hydration for my cham the plant substrate is not that wet and it is growing new leaves and branches. I don’t know when summer comes...

It seems like Godzilla’s been hiding, I haven’t seen any posting from @Keiths04 in a while. Any updated on this other handsome monster?

^^^ like Andrew1283 have said, or you can do a T5 HO 6500K grow light from Amazon. The downside with T5 is you have to change the bulb every now and then but with LED it will take years before you have to change the while light system.

You can go with T5 HO 6500K, you can get a dual bulb fixture from Amazon but if you don’t want to change the bulb every now and then, go with LED.
