    Chameleon thoughts

A species that you can find CB, have done the research for, and have the ability to provide what it needs. For example, if your house is always 85 degrees and you won’t get an ac unit, don’t get a montane that needs night drops to 50 degrees. Im not too crazy about the idea of starter reptiles…...

    Calumma brevicorne or calumma crypticum?

I think with a decade or two or more of accolplished conservation and restoration some Trioceros may become available again (other than Kenya). I think Tanzania is going to reopen with exports of some Trioceros and Kinyongia chameleon species. That country is just updating their approach to...

    Male or Female Panther

Bought this little guy about a month ago online. Paid extra for juvenile and a male from CB reptile. After a bit of research I think I got a younger one than anticipated and a female. Anyone have any thoughts?

Best place to order a panther

Avoid shady dot com resellers like LLL Reptile, CB Reptiles, Backwater Reptiles, etc... They don't breed, instead just flip wild caught chams that they don't stand by after shipping.

Comment by 'DeremensisBlue' in 'Oct 14 2022: EndoParasites in Captive Chameleons'

She did mention one crested gecko that was kept in the same cage as a wild caught Uroplatus so there is a wrench to throw into the gears. But I am very interested in anything we can use to figure out how transmissible parasites are between species and genus. Not only to see how dangerous North...

    Terrestrial or Communal

Hi Internets, I am wondering which species of Chameleon is readily available CB that's either terrestrial or can have a few living in same enclosure. I'm not looking to get one at the moment but would like to get some knowledge and do my research first. I have a pretty good understanding of...

I'd suggest getting a fecal test done ASAP. CB Reptiles has the reputation of selling sick chameleons. I'd also have the community review your enclosure and care ASAP: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/

    New baby not eating

So, the vet says that it’s the smallest chameleon she’s ever seen and that he is way too small to have been released to us. She says he looks to be fresh out of the egg. He’s going to have to stay in the hospital and only has a 20% chance of survival. cb reptiles is so irresponsible.

    Reputable reptile/snake dealers

I'm having a really hard time finding proper dealers for more niche reptiles and or snakes. So what are your favorite reptile dealers? Bonus points if they have either CB black rat snakes(Pantherophis obsoletus/Pantherophis alleghaniensis) or blue beauty snakes (Orthriophis taeniurus...

    Captive Bred Jackson’s Chameleon

Hi Everyone! New to this form but I’ve been a long time reptile keeper! I’ve been doing lots of research and decided I want to have a Jackson’s as my first chameleon. Given the husbandry and night drop requirements they perfectly fit my current setup. However I’ve run into a big problem. I’ve...

    Male? Female?

...are not typically friendly reptiles. They just tolerate people as they mature because they figure out that we are the bringer of food. CB reptiles is not the best and you will not hear from them more than likely. Get a fecal done sooner than later though. You need to see if baby is carrying a...
