LOL My snake cages are 36 deep. You kind of go, Well I won't need to get back there. I can at least pull them out and get into the top, but hopping I wont have to. The are natural and planted.

    Screen tear

...Just another minor fix. Still having issues with keeping live plants alive in my enclosures. Tried a umbrella plant but died in less then a month. So need to replace it with something easier to grow. Found a snake plant but no clue if there safe for chams. Other then that leaving as is for...

    New to ME Chameleon

No. I acquired and cleaned the plants. I received the little guy in a carb board box with what I would say is a snake hide out cave thing and a palm tree that would go in a aquarium. This guy I think has never seen alive plants before.

    Baby Cham with eye problems

Cage Info: Cage Type - Because he is so small and unable to see (and that I was unprepared to take on a Cham) I have them in a 12X12X12 Front opening zoomed tank. This is a good ‘hospital’ enclosure for a baby. However, as he gets to feeling better and growing he’ll be needing at least a...

    Watering enclosure plants

We use a little 150 ml watering thing (don't even know what it's called, and can't find a pic of it). It's small enough to snake your hand in there and water the pots. Ours isn't here, but something like this...

    Chameleon closed both eyes

Ok so quite a few things here... She is able to get far too close to that T5, with the 10.0 UVB bulb you need a full 11-12 inches to the closest branch. If their are fake plants (which are dangerous with Veileds) then you need to ensure the light fixtures are not sitting right above where those...

    Spider mites

Spider mites don't make webs. They will just look like tiny red specs. They also do not affect chameleons. And yes from what I understand the springtails will eat the eggs. I am running many Bio tanks with snakes and have had no issues, though I do live in Oregon.

    Temperatures

So your ambient temps will effect a basking temp if your not utilizing a hybrid style cage. Screen cages are harder to regulate temps. But how are you checking your basking? 150watts worth of bulbs as a heat source is excessive. A female should be kept no hotter than 78-80 then your adjusting...

    Just wanted to say hello.

Been lurking for a while now, reading what I can and trying to learn from past mistakes, but recently decided to step into the fray. I've bred Ball Pythons in the past and had over 24 snakes at any given time, I've also had Crested Geckos, 2 Russian tortoise's, and quite a few dart frogs. This...

    Plant light

HEY SUPER CHEAP LIGHTS. So grow lights make a difference for plants, this is true. However plants aren't our primary goal, we just want them to grow. On that note. I found shop lights at wallmart. $18. Make sure they are the 5500 lumen. Not 3200. They also carry one for $35 but it has a...

    Shedding Cuff?

When the new cage comes I plan on making it 100% live plants. I have a Ti Plant, Golden Pothos, and snake plant in her current cage though, but I will definitely get more!! Can you copy link the husbandry form too? I would like to have it reviewed
